Him, Alec Steele, and Eli from the KZbin channel ZNA Productions have all inspired me to work with my hands more often*. I credit Torbjörn and Alec for my first ever anvil I bought about a month ago. *Leah from the channel See Jane Drill also deserves a mention, without her I wouldn’t be building my first sawhorses

Lovely demo of your hammer rack, very precise and I particularly love the 'hammerblack' paint finish. ...A year or so ago I built mine from some old, tough straight-grain pitch pine, so when I plonk my hammers into it, it's a nice dull thud instead of a clang. Thank you again for this interesting video and I wish you many blessings. Best, Wendi

Thanks, I just built myself a new shop and now have to store all my tools and materials in a smart way, I don't think I need such a big and professional rack (I don't have so many hammers nor do I need them, and chisel hammers and punches will get more over the time but for now I have only 5 or so), I think I will build a similar rack like that one from wood that you replaced :) Greetings from Germany, Edgar

@@torbjornahman i really mean it. Planning my personal lab and workshop seeing how you complete simpe tasks like this for the order of the tools its inspirational. How easy you make everything look even if they are not, motivates me to just do something. Just looking at your workshop inspires someone to the first steps of starting their workshop. Also, i love the touch of everyday tasks such as watering the plants or showing around. It reminds me not to be self consumed by my craft (as i have been) and living a true, meaningfull and unmaterialistic life. You are one of the best.

There's a little free space, so now you'll have to fill it up... That's a lot of hammers and top swages, etc. Even though you didn't swing a hammer in this video, it's still a great blacksmithing video. Regular shop maintenance and refinement is a trait of all great craftsmen. You certainly have a shop to be proud of.

A little tip: when you are closing a paint can it will be useful to rotate the can their bottom up for a 2-3 second. The paint fills a gaps between the can and their cover and makes covering more germetic.
