HI everybody, here’s a making of I made back in 2017 on raising a Grand Bascinet inspired from the Friedrich Kurfürst 1450 Grand Bascinet raising from a 3mm plate.

Gorgeous work. It is a privilege to see the process in such detail, thank you. Was the second visor also based on an historic example, specifically the protected hinges? What was that soft bag you used for dishing filled with?

The second viser was not base on a historic example, I discussions it with Per Lillelund Jensen who knows his armour and we decided it might be possible this type of visor on this type of Grand Bascinet. I never found a example with a jousting visor.
