I have experienced both at -30C, little mountain tent (unheated) and quinzee, the latter is by far warmer! In a tent when waking up in the morning there are only 1 or 2 degrees warmer. I would say it would be possible, at any cold temperature in survival situation, to sleep in a quinzee on a thick bed of fir branches without sleeping bag if you are dressed properly.

Bonjour et merci pour cette video instructive et en français 👍 Je vais construire mon premier quinzee aujourd'hui car nous venons d'avoir d'importantes chutes de neige ici au sud de la Finlande. Les températures vont baisser en fin de semaine donc un endroit "au chaud " pour déguster un bon café dehors sera le bien venu. Merci et bonne continuation. Bien amicalement, Pascal de Finlande

Merci du commentaire! Effectivement les bagages à l'intérieur nous font sauver quelques minutes de pelletage, j'ajouterais cependant que cette étape de creuser l'intérieur a été plus facile et rapide que je croyais.

I thought you could activated subtitles with the icon below! For your information, my french is ''Français Québécois'' and is quite différent from ''Français de France'', so the translation autogenerated with U-Tube is sometime not good. Oh, moi aussi j'essaie d'améliorer mon anglais en écoutant et en m'abonnant à des chaînes de vidéos en anglais!! Thank you for your comment.

@@natureboreale4709 I live in Toronto so Quebec French is what I am looking for haha. There is an icon but it only shows autogenerated French subtitles so I thought you might have a setting to enable auto generated English subtitles too. Thanks anyway!

I just found that I could enable autogenerated English subtitles by clicking a few more buttons. Shame on me for not being able to figure this out earlier despite being a software engineer. Have a good day!!
