Me too!!!! I always wondered how my mom did it - in all my childhood pics she had that look but when I decided to try it, it would never work and I’d wonder how she did it without KZbin to teach her! LOL I tried it today for the first time with eyeshadow and it was pretty easy and it came out pretty good but the shadow would sprinkle around the outside and I’d have to brush it off so it got a little messy but I’m sure when I try it with a regular liner it’ll be great thanks so much!!!

Eye lashes won't curl? No problem! Take your hair dryer (blow dryer) and hit your eyelash curler with it for maybe 10 seconds, on low. Try it on your wrist for a moment to make sure it's not too hot, then curl your lashes - NO NEED to purchase a heated eyelash curler. Your blow dryer will work just fine and keep you from having to purchase a whole new beauty gizmo. Now go and flutter to your heart's content!! 😇

Neat trick idea! I have for years just put my eyelash curler in the palm of my hand (about 2 min before mascara) to warm it up a bit but like this idea too. I warmed curler definitely works better than a cold one!

I’m 72, I’ve worn makeup since I was 15. Always used good products. Never smoked, no recreational drugs, never had a sunburn on my face (makeup helped that), I dye my hair (I look awful grey), I have my nails done, I wear heels, I don’t dress like a teen, nor do I dress like a granny....even though I’m a great grandmother. I want to look as good as I can for as long as I can. I’m usually taken for being mid to late fifties. I’m thrilled with that. These makeup techniques are excellent. I get so tired when other women, around my age, ask me why I don’t go grey and why I wear heels and makeup. I’m always polite with my answer, but I’d love to say just once.....mind your own business. Ladies, do what makes you happy. When you’re happy, you have confidence, and it shows on our face.

@@elliebradley5192 - my husband says I should do that too. It’s not my nature to be rude or mean. I just reply I like looking nice. Our priest, who overheard one such conversation, sided with the no makeup grey lady and said to me “being vain was sinful”. So I gave him my best ‘Mona Lisa’ smile.

Great tutorial! I can add one more tip, apply mascara in the same way you applied your eyeshadow by pulling the outer corner of the eye outwards to spread lashes apart. A lot of women think they lose lashes as they age but they may appear thinner because the skin isn't tight and it squishes the lashes closer together. Lifting the corner of the eye as you apply mascara allows easier and defined coverage of each lash. You will be amazed at the difference and you will see lashes like you are back in your 20's ☺️

I actually learned this a few years ago & it is a blessing bc the older I've become the less often I want to wear mascara (irritates my eyes). But I will say - you do NOT have turned down eyes AT ALL!!! Beautiful...

I'm 36 but these tips are great as I already have saggy skin around the eye area. Like to go without makeup but do like to accentuate my eyes. Makes me feel more put together. I have 2 boys under 4 so like to not look like a zombie so a little makeup for me is good lol Can't do makeup like these young girls, never looks right lol Thanks again! You are beautiful!!!! 💕

Right?!! I have always loved neutral and simple eyeshadows & makeup in general but, as I age, the other videos tell us we need 100 times more makeup which looks so made up & plastic! Ugh!

I had my 'five oh', birthday recently, but realised the last 4 yrs I have slowly dwindled away of makeup (I used to be makeup artist on actresses/actors .. models etc specifically for outdoor sport ads ,or adverts you may say).. I always have been a, : do makeup so it doesn't look like female (and males too), have it on~ rosey, outdoorsy type technique I guess. But last 4 yrs have been pretty rough, hubby diagnosed of brain cancer-and all that goes with that journey(seizures, blank moments when brain has brain swell, mobility..his right side of body very affected, we swap walker to wheelchair, and vice versa when needed)-but I really stared at myself on my bday in April this yr, and gosh, we change dont we! I suppose my focus is mostly keeping days as 'normal' for hubby and our son - & just havent taken a good hard look at changes in me! I appreciate your calmness and inspiration, to not just give up on doing at least a little of makeup, my canvas has changed, but perhaps looking in perspective to- "lets see what I can do, so my reflection reflects hope and that life is NOW, (cancer kinda makes you realise, enjoy moments, now". Brightness is around even when things are rough).. and try new ways to uplift myself, and my family(dark circles under eyes and dry lips definitly don't look cheery!) ~ Thank u for posting this vid!! ❤ hugs from Northern California🌲🌞

Wow! You look so beautiful with your makeup like this. Gorgeous. Learned some good tips, so thanks! I am 67 years old & don't like a heavy makeup look. I've tried a lot of products over the years, but since I'm not financially able to buy a lot of products to try out, it's been a challenge to find what works. Haven't had a lot of success with foundation. It seems no matter what I've tried, it ends up the wrong color or it cakes up, making me look even older, so I REALLY appreciate the help!!

There is just something so inviting about an Australian accent! These were great tips! I'd never seen anyone else ever slant the lash curler. I'll def have to try that out. I don't think I've actually seen that specific "triangle technique" for the eye liner either. Thanks.

Yeah me too... the pandemic has really put a crunch on makeup. But the good news is, corona doesn’t really live on makeup (unless you have it) so if you are worried, then just go say, 10 days without touching your makeup & then use it again with sanitized hands, and there won’t be really any risk. Keep your brushes upright in a glass, wash them once a week as usual. I was paranoid about it & my husband (a dr) set me straight about the situation so makeup is ok, just do it safely.

What a lovely lady and great to watch. I am a hairdresser and makeup artist I found this video A1. One thing I find helps with the eyelash curling is pop a clear primer on first then curl them then apply mascara, you will find when you apply the mascara they just pop! And also holds the curl longer. Great job 👏🏼

I still have trouble with trying to curl my eyelashes like you do. I keep ripping them out and always seem to pinch myself.
