Face to Face with a Giant 23-Foot Anaconda

Ecco un video delle mie incredibili immersioni con le anaconda nel fiume Formoso in Brasile di fine Luglio 2019. Quella che si vede nel video e' un esemplare femmina di 7 metri e di circa 90 kg di anaconda verde, la piu' grande fra le 4 specie di anaconda. Il fiume Formoso scorre nei pressi di una cittadina che si chiama Bonito, nello stato del Mato Grosso do Sul, in Brasile. I fiumi e i corsi d'acqua intorno a Bonito sono gli unici posti in Sud America dove e' possibile trovare le anaconda, e quindi immergersi con loro, in acque cristalline. Per il resto frequentano paludi e corsi d'acqua torbidi e scuri, non ideali per le immersioni. Il periodo di fine Luglio/inizio Agosto segna in quelle zone il picco dell'inverno, il periodo migliore per fare immersioni con queste creature maestose. In questo periodo le anaconda escono dal letargo per cambiare la pelle, alimentarsi e accoppiarsi. La temperatura dell'acqua del fiume si mantiene costante tutto l'anno intorno ai 22-24 gradi e, quando in inverno l'aria e' generalmente piu' fredda dell'acqua le anaconda passano piu' tempo in acqua, ambiente dove si sentono al sicuro. Come si vede nel video l'anaconda nuota calma e tranquilla, completamente indifferente alla nostra presenza, a volte si avvicina incuriosita dalla videocamera leccando la lente. Il suo comportamento sfata il mito secondo il quale l'anaconda e' una creatura aggressiva e violenta che puo' mettere in pericolo la vita delle persone. E' certamente un animale predatore molto forte e il piu' grande tra tutti i serpenti che puo' reagire se si sente minacciato o infastidito, quindi da trattare sempre con molto rispetto.
Here is a video of my incredible dives with the anacondas in the Formoso River in Brazil. At the end of July 2019 I traveled to the State of Mato Grosso do Sul in Brazil to dive in the Formoso River with the largest living snake, the Green Anaconda. The anaconda filmed in the video is a massive 7 meters (23 foot) female weighing around 90 kilograms (200 lbs). The Formoso River runs through the Cerrado (the Brazilian Savannah) in the proximity of a city called Bonito, in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, in Brazil. The rivers and the bodies of water around the Bonito area are the only places in South America where Anacondas can be found in crystal clear waters, and therefore diving with them is possible. Other places where they are found are marshes and rivers too murky and turbid to take a dive in. End of July/beginning of August marks in that region the peak of the winter, the best time to dive with these majestic creatures. During this time the anacondas wake up from hibernation to shed their skin, feed and mate. The river water temperature is 22-24 degrees year round and when during winter the air is generally cooler than the water the anacondas spend more time in the water. As shown in the footage the anaconda swims calm and peaceful, completely indifferent to our presence, some times she comes closer curious about my camera licking the lens. The behavior of the anaconda debunks the myth that it is an aggressive and violent creature that can endanger people's life. It is without a doubt an extremely strong predator and the largest of all snakes that can react if threatened or molested, to be treated with a lot of respect.

Not only are anacondas not venomous but they rarely bite humans, they are actually incredibly docile snakes and usually only go after small to medium size game. If you have a dog closeby though watch out because it could judge your puppy as lunch

Mai sfidare né la natura ne gli animali x quanto si possa avere tutta l' esperienza di questo mondo con certi animali si dovrebbe stare alla larga ,sono troppo imprevedibili è sicuramente questa anaconda aveva già cenato qualche giorno prima ,non fatelo .
