In this video, I show you Face Yoga for the 60s Face and Skin, making this a Complete Face Yoga Program at this stage on life. The video includes the most effective face yoga exercises and lifting face massage for the needs of the 60plus face and skin, so that you able to create real results in the whole face, from forehead to the neck.
💆‍♀️ The main focus for our face in our 60s is to strengthen the facial muscles that have lost tone, bring the volume back in to the cheeks, tone up the the hooded upper eyes, minimise the noticeable signs of ageing around the eyes, lessen deepening grooves of the nasolabila folds and marionette lines and bring back a more tight contour into the softening line of the jaw and the neck. We also need to re-energise the skin, and we do this by actively and consciously contracting and releasing the face muscles when we are exercising them.
💆‍♀️ We also focus on smoothing the lines and folds that have deepend in the centre of the face and we do this with the targeted face massage that has a lifting effect. Plus we also need to relax that tension ion the tight forehead muscles and the space between the eyebrows!
ℹ️ At this stage, the effects of the menopause and post-menopause are much greater than in our 50s, and it can reflect in both our skin and our face structure. Skin is much much dryer and thinner, and all the years we enjoyed in the sun - well it has depleted our collagen reserves. Bone density is lower, and can create a hollow-looking face, and without the bouncy fat deposits under our skin that we had so much of in our 30s, the face muscles have inadequate support and therefore lost tone and succumbed to gravity. So skin dryness, lines/wrinkles on the cheeks, folding at the centre of the face, lines down from the mouth corners, droopy upper eyelids, droopy neck skin and generally loss of confidence in our appearance are all very very real at this stage.

Great workout for the face. Will do a couple times a week, it's a bit long for everyday but will do some of your shorter ones in the other days. I am faithful to do facial exercises, been doing them about 6 years and truly works. Its as important as my other daily workouts for the body. ❤

This is another wonderful face workout❤ I have never done such targeted workouts for cheeks and lower face. I love them. I find the workouts around the eyes difficult. Is there any reason why I have to keep the other eye open when I do the upper lid workout? It’s easier to close both eyes to keep the forehead relaxed (I suppose I need more practice…). I definitely do this routine daily for a while. Thank you very much, Polina.

Wonderful to hear you loved the workout 🌸💟 and thank you so much for leaving your comment! The reason we keep the other eye open is not to crease the skin around the eye and keep everything as smooth as possible. But for a lot of people it is not possible to isolate one eye from the other , in which case do keep both eyes closed, especially if it helps with forehead relaxation 😀 Let me know how you get on with the practice!🌷💆‍♀

I am practise face yoga till june (before another program but it was too strong and it was not relaxing as yours! more the face of the teacher seemed like a bodybuilder face 😮 not sweet and smooth and radiant like yours ❤❤ ) and I am practising your program videos for one months, both the exercise and the guasha massage. But I see no difference. Could it be because my face is very very thin, a "bony face"? When I do exerxcise or guasha massage I feel like I touch my bones not mussles 😢. Do you think it is because I need a lot of time? Or my "skeleton" face cannot improove?

@@mariasoleariot Thanks for your questions Maria 😀 It depends on what you're trying to achieve - some results will take longer time to manifest than others. You said you were doing the other teacher's program - how long was that for, and did you get any improvement ? Where are you trying to create a difference? Is it in the face volume, lines, etc? It could be that you're not doing the right exercises for the type of ageing that you have 💆‍♀🌸 with Gua Sha, make sure you're doing it too harshly as if " scraping the bones underneath", especially if you have a bony face structure - you might benefit from hands-only lifting massage better rather than Gua Sha. SO lots of factors as you can see !💆‍♀

The under eye exercise when lifting under eyelids causes crows feet to bunch whichever way I do it..does this matter

Thanks for your question and for watching !🌸💆‍♀ yes it does matter - there should be no extreme crows feet lines during the exercise - try to engage the low eyelids without squeezing the eyes too tightly in 💆‍♀

@@lisacarnivore Thanks for your feedback :) as the muscles get stronger there comes a smoothing effect on the skin too. Just make sure you double check your technique and work with the mirror so as not to overcompensate with squeezing somewhere else and creating too much creasing there 🌸

How come you haven’t got any lines or wrinkles that I can see - I do facial yoga but you still get expression lines and a bit of jowling?

I'm lucky not to have developed jowls and too many expression lines as I'm now always careful with my face posture, and become aware as soon as I'm tensing the muscles !😅 when performing face yoga exercises I do get lines, but always try to smooth any lines out with my fingers so as not to crease the skin. Plus my recent sleep investment is Omnia Sleep&glow pillow which is great and prevents excessive sleep creases 😍
