In this video, I show you Face Yoga for the 60s Face and Skin, making this a Complete Face Yoga Program at this stage on life. The video includes the most effective face yoga exercises and lifting face massage for the needs of the 60plus face and skin, so that you able to create real results in the whole face, from forehead to the neck.
💆♀️ The main focus for our face in our 60s is to strengthen the facial muscles that have lost tone, bring the volume back in to the cheeks, tone up the the hooded upper eyes, minimise the noticeable signs of ageing around the eyes, lessen deepening grooves of the nasolabila folds and marionette lines and bring back a more tight contour into the softening line of the jaw and the neck. We also need to re-energise the skin, and we do this by actively and consciously contracting and releasing the face muscles when we are exercising them.
💆♀️ We also focus on smoothing the lines and folds that have deepend in the centre of the face and we do this with the targeted face massage that has a lifting effect. Plus we also need to relax that tension ion the tight forehead muscles and the space between the eyebrows!
ℹ️ At this stage, the effects of the menopause and post-menopause are much greater than in our 50s, and it can reflect in both our skin and our face structure. Skin is much much dryer and thinner, and all the years we enjoyed in the sun - well it has depleted our collagen reserves. Bone density is lower, and can create a hollow-looking face, and without the bouncy fat deposits under our skin that we had so much of in our 30s, the face muscles have inadequate support and therefore lost tone and succumbed to gravity. So skin dryness, lines/wrinkles on the cheeks, folding at the centre of the face, lines down from the mouth corners, droopy upper eyelids, droopy neck skin and generally loss of confidence in our appearance are all very very real at this stage.
