I've heard the ex has cheated on me thing, lol dude, Fender doesn't even guitars to it's own employees dude, you have to wait until Christmas to even get a halfway decent deal, I wish people were giving out axes, I figure the closest thing we got is like Harley Benton or Leo Jamz for the decent deals, companies like that but yea if it's just pay shipping, you are just getting burned for that shipping. My friend rang me a few years ago to tell me he was looking at a fender telecaster for 50 quid on a car-boot sale. He said there were 20 guitars in a crate and it was one of them. He doesn't play guitar but wanted to know if I wanted it. I said no but it got in my head that just maybe lol. I rang him back half hour later and told him to buy it. Well it was some type of home-made thing complete with fender decals on the head-stock. It actually plays ok and stays in tune but it ways about 17 tons. Probably not that much but seriously I've no idea what the maker was thinking when he selected wood that was so heavy. If I hadn't bought it it would have annoyed me wondering if I missed out on a bargain, and the neck and parts probably equal the biggest part of what I paid. I could sell it to a power-lifter maybe lol.
