In August 2000 you Dr. Lombardo took care of my left knee Via ACL repair . You did an awesome job on my knee . No swelling or even pain did I have after surgery . Awesome care of me you took from beginning to end . You are also an awesome human being . I remember our visits and how you’d put me at ease with answering all my questions with the utmost professionalism, patience and kindness . In light of this past weeks passing of Kobe Bryant and his beautiful daughter it reminded me of the first and only time that I ran into Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal in the waiting room of your office knowing that they were famous and that I was so sure that I’d seen them both somewhere but I for the life of me couldn’t remember where lol . ( i wasn’t really much into basket ball then ) I didn’t want to impolitely continue to stare at them both as they sat talking to each other waiting to be called in so I just put it aside and kept reading my magazine . When they were called in together they both had to stoop down under the door way in order to clear it and enter . I thought to myself whoa those guys are huge like a couple of trees lol . So finally one day I was watching a laker game at my brothers home and lo and behold whom do I see playing ?? ... yep Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal . I got so excited and yelled out there they are ! That’s those two I saw at my Doctors office ! That’s who they are ! I nearly blew my brother ears out i was so excited lol . My brother looks at me and says “ you didn’t know whom they were ?? “ aww I could have had an autograph from them if you’d have known whom they were then Sister ! lol Oh well little brother , I know now . Its a cool memory . I also got to see Lou Ferrigno and his Son on one of my visits with you as you were about to enter my room he and his Son pulled you aside and started to chat you and here I go again trying to remember his name while trying tell my cousin that was in the room with me but was seated in a location of the room unable to see whom was stopped right outside my door way so she’s asking me who is it who is it ? So finally in my excitement I finally remembered his character name so I yelled out THE HULK ! Omygosh I was so embarrassed because You Dr. Lombardo , Lou Ferrigno and his Son all looked at me and just smiled and chuckled lol . So you finally get into my room and say to me “ the hulk hmm ? “ j in laughed and you smiled . My condolences to you Dr. Lombardo as I know you knew Kobe Bryant well and know that you feel his loss as well . Again God bless and keep you Dr. Lombardo and as you once told me that your grandchildren would say to you with stretched out arms “ HUGGY HUGGY 🤗 “

⁠​⁠Sorry for the verrrry late response but I just ran into this video again and noticed your response to my comment 😊I hope all is well with you and your knee🙏🏼 . Well guess what ? I’m about to see Dr. Lombardo AGAIN this time for my right knee . I don’t know what I did this time around 🙄😂but I’m about to find out and I trust no one else with my knee but Dr. Lombardo soooo wish me luck . I’m SO glad that he’s still in practice . Take care my friend 😊
