Had a neck lift with Dr. Sedati about two years ago and so glad I did. Only wish I had done it sooner. I was up and around doing my thing in about a week. The tightness in the neck lasted a long time. Small price to pay for having a new beautiful jawline when I had none before. People telling me I looked great, fresh, happy... not knowing why. You look natural and great- like yourself but better.

Hi..thanks for the video..any insight on when people can laugh, sneeze and smile after a facelift safely where there's no risk involved to the procedure done? I've had bouts of sneezing and have laughed when my face is very tight 1-2 weeks post-op and am worried! Would appreciate your insight on this.....thanks again!

@@meirakorwal8118 hey - i didn't get it from this doctor. i went for a lower lift and it's horrible. problem is it takes 18 months to heal (for nerves to reconnect) with what i had done and i just hit month 13 and all of a sudden my face changed for the worse and its still firm at the jawline...so i still don't know how this will look. it looks great at first with the swelling. my doctor lied and told me it would not change much. oh, it changed much for the worse because it was the swelling that made me look young so i find i am now DISSAPOINTED now that its almost settled and i actually look worse. i did NOT ask my doctor for a cheek lift at all i asked for a neck lift. he took it upon himself to do what HE wanted...i was VERY CLEAR i did not want any change to my mid face and the very same thing i said NOT TO CHANGE....he changed. I'm worried about how this will die down since i already look bad. I looked way younger the first 12 months or healing because i was still swollen more . Also, he put stitches in right where my neck and face connect that feel like JELLO which feels old and i am stuck with them so now i have LUMPS in my neck i did not previously have. So, good luck to you..I'm sure this doctor knows what he's doing. Your fate is unfortunately in the hands of the doctor you see much like going to court...you can get different results with different people. That's what sucks about it. Good luck.

And most of the swelling will be gone in 3 weeks... So why this happened wid u? Do u talk to the surgeon who performed ur surgery? What he said... Plzz reply?

I am afraid that the tightness in the neck would make me anxious. How bad is the tightness and do you feel like your breathing or swallowing is affected?

It’s pretty intense. I’m on day 7 and I’m up after midnight looking at these videos to find reassurance that this is normal. Not only tightness but there can be a lump and the numbness is also intense. Just FYI!

I don't think doctors address the tightness and especially the numbness issue. My friend is a good 10 weeks post op on her neck lift and is still very tight and NUMB. She was not told any thing about numbness prior. This makes me nervous about considering this surgery.

i had a mini lift 6 weeks ago and have extreme numbness and swelling around cheeks in front of ears,behind the ears and the back of my neck extremely red and swollen. How is your friend now?

@@susanad1404, I had a deep plane facelift and platysmaplasty 3.5 weeks ago and find the numbness distressing. My surgeon told me that most of the sensation will return 3-6 months after the surgery. i was certainly not prepared for this and am fearful that the numbness will be permanent. Best of luck to you.

@@tzipporahv3619 Thank you for your response. I am a little over 6 weeks and feel pulling in my neck, and temples. My ears and cheeks are numb and i had a upper eye lift and my vision is blurry. Not sure if this is normal but my surgeon says it will subside in 3 months but i feel exhausted from the swelling and pulling non stop. This is exhausting and i am scheduled for Explant surgery on the 9th of December and can't imagine i will be strong enough by then. Do you feel exhausted and weak as well?

@@susanad1404, I am absolutely emotionally exhausted. I was not prepared for this degree of discomfort. While there is little pain, the persistent numbness to my ears and cheeks and the tight, pulling sensation to my neck are maddening. Best of luck to you, Susana.

@@lf9341 thanks for asking. I'm 13 weeks post surgery. Looking amazing. I was talking to someone that I have just met last week and he said I looked 10 years younger than my age. The swelling had gone down. Everything has settled. My eyes have stopped feeling tight. The scares behind my ears are healing well. The sensation around my ears is coming back too. I'm really happy that I had the fat transfer and the full face lift and eye lift.
