Terrible about the police officer.😪 R.I.P. Thank-you for your service. There is always collateral damage from those that chose to break the law. A child never knew his/her father. How did his killer & Wallace come to have so much hate in their hearts? I do not understand. Thank-you Lamont for another video. God bless.

CPL Anderson Gordon III Thank you Lamont, for telling these people's stories. Unfortunate and sad as their endings may be, I am eternally grateful to every police officer and military officer, who lays their life on the line to keep me safe and protected. All the good men and women out here that fearlessly leave their home in the morning, and do not know if they will be coming home at night. I honor your Life and memory, Officer Gordon. I'm very sorry that the man that took him from here had no remorse, even after 20 years.

You are a good man with a huge heart Lamont. I saw that broken flower vase and wondered if you were going to fix it and you did despite the man with so much hatred in his heart lying six feet under at your feet. he was a horrible human being but you rose above that and did a simple act of kindness. Speaks volumes about your majestic character. Thanks for this video and for bringing awareness about that poor police officer. How incredibly tragic. His poor family. May he rest in eternal peace.

Wow. Brings back memories. Similar situation happened to someone I was close with. My dad was a Detective on the Port of Seattle Police Department and had worked with another Detective on the Seattle Police Department named Antonio Terry. He was coming back home from a bust, saw a stalled car, pulled over to help. He identified himself as an Officer not knowing the guy had felony warrants. Guy shot him. He drove himself to the hospital and later passed away.

Hey Lamont I love your videos and I watch them all. I grew up in Montgomery, and have lots of family buried very close to the Governor. I will say that your info was spot on, on him, except. For the last 5 to 6 years of his life his stance on segregation changed. He was extremely against it for years and years, then had a warming of his cold heart, and he believed segregation was a good thing. There were lots of rumors my mother told me of him having a biracial grandchild, or great grandchild and that's what changed him. Anyway, great video thank you for showing some from my hometown ❤

At the end of his life, George Wallace displayed remorse for his racist actions and displayed a genuine love for Black People and Faith in Jesus Christ. I had a friend that became paralyzed and wrote a letter to George Wallace asking how he dealt with his injury.. He received a personal reply back telling him to look to Jesus Christ in his affliction as that was how he survived and lived day by day.

@@stevemaviver357 , if you believe in the shed Blood of Jesus Christ, even a man like George Wallace can receive redemption. Let me just say this... I was 11 years old the day George Wallace was shot in Laurel MD... My parents had taken us shopping that day for new shoes. There wasn't a huge crowd of people there to hear him speak, to begin with. We weren't in his immediate area but close enough to hear the shots and see the crowd panic and some people ran. He was a huge racist POS if there ever was one. The fact that you keep saying how Democrats were in those days, that Democrats had these views... well let me just correct you. My parents were both Democrats in those days and neither of them supported George Wallace or anything he stood for. In fact, just the opposite. What Wallace represented was the Deep State of the Southern Democratic party. The south has many different views (even to this very day) about race and issues surrounding racism. Only now they call themselves Republicans for Donald Trump. I know this to be a fact because my family is from the south and very much closet racist that pretend to not be racist until there around like-minded people. Then the real them comes out in spectacular racist fashion. Let's not forget that one of the greatest presidents that ever lived was a Democrat in the 60s... JFK was everything a president should have been in his time, at any time. President Roosevelt was a Democrat and without him, there'd be no FICA to insure that should another Great Depression happen (and it could, especially now) that there would be enough money to feed and house the displaced masses as well as provide an adequate retirement program for the elderly...and so the disabled and chronically ill could survive off of the insurance benefits their taxes paid for. So before you start tossing around the word Democrat as if it's a dirty word people should be ashamed of try educating yourself on some history that also includes those who may have similar principals politically but don't share in their racist separatist views... Parties have since changed over as now what views they shared 50+ years ago have done quite a role reversal. Now Democrats have the Liberal views and Republicans conservative interest. Things change, people change, racism still exists and it's not affiliated with any particular party...it's a social disease infecting more people in the south than anywhere else in the country. As a Centrist I have views on many sides of the issues but I don't see any particular party being any more or less racist by affiliation than I do groups of people that on a social level have likeminded hate-filled destructive views on how this country should be run. But I will tell you that those who worship Donald Trump are racist for the most part and it has nothing to do with whether or not they are republicans. It's their love for Trump and hatred for blacks, Hispanics, and Muslims that bring them together and drive their ambition for a white's only world. But not just any whites, their kind of whites... if they had their way, poor whites, sick whites, elderly whites, disabled whites, blacks at any social level, Hispanics period, and Muslims can all die leaving them their all-white Utopian world of plenty so they'd all be rich and have it all. I don't know a single Democrat these days that I've spoken with that shares in these sick-minded ideals. The truth hurts and may piss you off but it is the truth. I've lived a long time and I've seen and heard many things during my long life and I can say with no uncertainty whatsoever than in today's society racism doesn't have political affiliations or interest, it's the interest of the white privileged that is the driving force behind it.

I wonder if Roosevelt Rankins ( he was murdered on Facebook Live January 2020) is buried at this cemetery. He was from Montgomery Alabama... sad story.
