Debra Tate acts like the criminal justice system is supposed to be her personal therapist, and blathers on about her feelings, which are totally irrelevant. And she's an awful liar, always making her role in her sister's life and in the story more prominent than it really was.

During the same time period, a neighbor friend of mine was a police officer in LAPD Hollywood division during the late 60's throughout the whole 1970's. He talked about a lot of things. The two things that stick out the most are he was one of the first responding officers to Janis Joplin's body discovery and another time he walked by Charles Manson in jail right after the arrest for this murder. He said that when he saw Charles Manson in jail that "Manson looked like a little shit head trying to appear tough." Also, he felt really bad about seeing Janis dead from addiction. This is my take on Manson. I don’t claim to have the psychiatric records or any such knowledge. But. He’s been reared and grew up in the the worst kind of university. The school of hard knocks. And he mastered his manipulative and narcissistic mind control over easily influenced individuals. Some people have magnetic personalities. From my experience they can’t keep it up for very long , though. But he really did manipulate them to believe everything he said. If that was nowadays. He’d get his bitch ass funny face bitch slapped the world over. It just so happened that a few dissolute lost in life vulnerable people came across him and he woo’d them probably with his streetwise attitude and a little psychological insight, can get you what you want. David koresh has similarities. Only he was smarter. These Netflix documentaries there’s a new one next flicks. But they airbrush so much information out. I’ve seen a few documentaries over the years. But very few bring up. How the female leader of the branch davidians. The 70 odd year old woman. Who apparently had a relationship with vernon. When it was confirmed that she couldn’t have a son. She was going out with gang. For a day shopping. I’m under the impression she was wheelchair bound and suddenly, she slipped out of her wheelchair locks and fell out the back doors. The only thing I am aware of is that she passed away. 🙏🏼💜. R. I.P. Then vernon became the spiritual leader. Greed and power are the undoer of men 💜 namaste

@oldageisdumb2 жыл бұрын
@@heenibaby-p2w insensitive? I beg to differ. My point was to show that Sharon’s baby mattered. He was a full, loved human being. Pro choice individuals only feel it’s a baby when it’s convenient for them. If they want to abort their baby for their own convenience ( NOT talking about rape victims or medical situations) then it’s just a mass of cells. If it’s a situation like Sharon’s, then suddenly he is a baby. You can’t have it both ways. And yes she was only two weeks from her due date but I’ve heard pro choice individuals that don’t feel it’s a baby until birth. As long as it’s inside, still a mass of cells.
@heenibaby-p2w2 жыл бұрын
@@oldageisdumb but is it really safe to bring the pregnancy to full term if the mother is unable to deliver the foetus when she has an underlying health risk? If the health of both the baby and the mother is comprised is it really worth it? Or if the parents are unable to financially raise the baby or are in an abusive household, or what about rape victims? Pro life is not self righteous and should not be called pro life but instead against consent. And its not even about that, if someone doesn't feel they're able to bring life into this world they shouldn't have to, with no questions asked. You also forget pro choice means you can choose to keep the baby, its having the choice to control your own body. Sharons unfortunate case has nothing to do with this, its not like they came to murder her with the intent of killing a pregnant woman for choosing to go through with the pregnancy, they were cold blooded murderers. How dare you even compare it to pro choice when that is not at all what it means, maybe if you read a fucking book you would have an ounce of knowledge on what the two stances meant.

I worked for an attorney that lived down the hill and he knew the owner of the house who wanted him to come up and listen to some tapes of a singer he was promoting. I worked at the attorney's house during that time and was really a great job. I went up to the property with him and I was stunned to see that it was a ranch-style house and that the property wasn't sitting on a lot of land like I imagined when I originally heard about the murders. It had beamed ceilings (this would be in the living room cuz that's the only room I was in with my boss and the owner) and I remember how Sharon Tate was found and it freaks me out somewhat. And I saw that there were homes not too far away from this particular property and I was stunned about that because I couldn't understand how people couldn't have heard what was happening. And I also remembered about the fact that Sebring was killed and my boyfriend at the time used to go to his hair salon to get haircuts. If I could recall correctly his Salon was on Fairfax not too far from the Garrett coffeehouse.

I have always been fascinated by the Manson case and you are right it did “ change the world “ it exposed evil that people had never seen before. You walking up the road the road all those people went up to meet their demise was creepy. This also showed the beauty of that area in California, TY for great video.

I was born the morning of 08 Aug 1969. For the longest time, I was angry to have my first day of life associated with Manson. As I grew older and matured, I realized the link I share with Sharon. Now I embrace it and the more I opened my mind, the more I got in touch with my sixth sense. As a child, I was never a Beatles or Beach Boys fan, nor did I care much for The Mamas & The Papas--which angered a lot of people, but I couldn't put my finger on why. I was never an Angela Landsbury fan, either. And I was lukewarm toward Dean Martin for many years. Ironically, I LOVE Barbara Lewis, and I have from the moment I heard her sing, but I couldn't explain why. Years later, when the internet exploded, I did research and boy was I blown away. I learned that Barbara was one of Sharon's bestest friends. I learned the association of all the other aforementioned people. Here's the weirdest part of all, I looked at the time of my birth, and I arrived into this world at almost the exact moment The Beatles were taking the famous Abbey Road picture. It does not get weirder than that.

Oh please, the whole Manson cult thing was a deflection to cover up the canyons degeneracy, the murders (deplorable as they were) weren't senseless they were payback for a bum drug deal of which two of the murdered were front and centre, Sebrings hair empire was a front for his brother supplying cocaine to Hollywood stars, no-one deserved the brutality of that night but please lets stop with the 'little innocents' BS, Cielo Drive was a hub of shady goings on and it came back to bite hard, as for the hillside kook and his fellow kook guests with all their 'experiences' and meltdowns, well colour me shocked

What's with these rich people always buying these iconic properties and then demolishing,gutting, or outright destroying them to build some ugly mansion on? Is that a thing to do when you're rich? Destroy history and build some awful looking monstrosity over it?

@Ameretsu Shidori The house was bought in 1993 by Harvey Weintraub and he tore the house down in 1994 to build, 'Casa Bella' on the property and then finally sold it in 2006 I do believe, completely unfinished and the new owner went to town on it. I agree with your thoughts, the original house was much more quaint compared to what is now there. That is LA in a nut shell...Little of the past remains.

@@getlauriekor Well all things considered look at what youtube channel you're on. Not everyone wants to tour Gettysburg and watch civil war reenactments or visit the Liberty Bell. Some of us find the grim side of history just as fascinating. Whether something good or bad happened at a location it's the idea that a historic event took place there that changed things forever and it should be preserved in some format.
