That's a nope for me. I didn't even allow my children to play with them or have one in my home. I told my children "I don't care what your beliefs are but under no circumstances is a Ouija board allowed in my home. That is the only thing I ask. Not in my home or on my property!"

My mom bought me a Ouija board for Christmas when I was 12. Didn’t ask for it and I used it maybe 1x. When I married and moved out my sisters got the board. Years later my sister gave it back to me. The thingy in the middle was gone and the box it came in. I put it in a closet. When my daughter was in high school she took it one night to a friend’s house. The kids were looking at it and they had made some type of replacement for the lost thingy. All of a sudden the guy whose house they were at starts crying. He had a brother who died at birth. The football guy asked if the brother knew of him. The soul said Yes, you are always in my heart. None of the kids in the group knew of this brother who died at birth. My daughter came home and she was visibly upset after what happened. I put the board in a dresser drawer and never touched it. The dresser is in my basement. I’m afraid to throw it out. I have seen two mediums on TV say the boards are evil. I don’t know why my mom thought it would be a great Christmas gift.

Sounds really interesting, Ron...looking forward to this one! 0uija boards should not be messed with..I believe they serve as a portal, to allow things to come into our midst, which are best left where they come from! @carlaemerson1195 I messed with one a long time ago. I'm 70, and then I was around ten. It's not a toy even though it is sold in children's toy stores. I was told if you open the board, with a session, it needs to be closed when finished with it. I didn't and I really don't want to mess with one again to do something I'm not even sure is true. What I am sure about is the boards are evil and serves as a pathway for evil to enter. Best to leave them alone.

I have always been very scared of Ouija Boards and have never been in the same room as one. I do believe that they're a portal. I remember working as an Assistant Manager at a department store and one night I got a strange call asking if we sold them. I recognized the voice. It was a friend of my daughter. She told me why she wanted one and she and I had a long talk and she decided she'd rather not play with something that's not a game. Happy New Year, Ron and everyone! I hope nothing but the best for each and every one of you! ❤🎉❤

Ouija Boards are nothing to play with. As a small child, I was visiting my Aunt and Uncles, my 3 cousins were a bit older and were playing with a Ouija Board, I did not like it, I knew something was not right about it. All 3 of my cousins died early in their lives and met tragic ends.

I'm was a Police K-9 Handler and we used to do K-9 night training at this cemetery many times. One night my K-9 started barking at a grave for no visible reason. His hair was raised and he was barking and growling at something I couldn't see. I literally had to drag him away from the grave. Kind of freaked all of us out. Also, this cemetery is infested with skunks, as two K-9's got sprayed. I'm glad that I never have to go back to that place again!

My friend was gifted a Quija board, she played with it every single day she became so addicted to it that suddenly she fell into a coma. Whatever evil she was contacting through that board, she became very abnormal, bizarre and her mental health deteriorated, and that is when she went into coma. She was hospitalized for almost a year and somewhat recuperated. Those boards are so very dangerous.

We had an Ouija board as kids in the 70's and it revealed all kinds of things. It told us what bar my Dad was in. One time we heard a loud thumb on the porch and asked it what that noise was and it spelled, "Me taking off my shoes." 😅 Heck, we didn't know it was bad. My Mom would hide something behind her back and she would tell us to ask what it was and it got it right every single time! We could not see what she had. We got it as a Christmas gift. Wow ...we WERE clueless. I stopped messing with it years ago. In hindsight it's frightening. We were innocent little kids. Yikes!

I think one of the biggest dangers is playing around with them by someone who is already having mental issues. Playing around with anything like this could trigger a mental break. I’ve always believed it’s best not to toy with things that may or may not have serious consequences. Besides I think it’s just to creepy trying to contact the dead. You’ll see them again once you get there. Be satisfied with that.

The opening shot of the building, I said, "That looks like Forest Lawn." I have several relatives buried there. My grandparents are on a hill such as you were navigating - very steep, and you must find a path down between graves. It's a very beautiful cemetery with lots of artwork: sculpture, paintings, and stained glass. When I was young, I went on field trips to see the artwork. We also took visiting relatives there. Beautiful chapels are also scattered around the grounds; swans swim (or at least did) in a big pond at the entrance.

Patience is a name devised by Puritans in the 1600s in England. My brother's godfather told a story when he was in Germany- in a UNRRA displaced persons camp. They were messing around with an Ouija Board and something contacted them and announced "Thank you for liberating me- I'm now going to spread mischief" or words to that effect and the room became cold. A priest had to be called- he said prayers and sprinkled Holy Water and eventually the atmosphere was returned to "normal". Funnily enough I have just been with a friend- he's 97 now and he knew this man I mentioned in the camp back then. He normally talks about other evils- serious drinking, as they were washed up by the tides of war- far from their own homeland wondering about their future. My brother's godfather got lucky. The academics at Oxford University decided they would like to offer a scholarship to Oxford University for an exceptional student. Countless young men sat the examination but he won and went to Oxford to study and eventually after the Soviet Union collapsed he went home and became a government minister. Clearly, the malevolent spirit had not impeded his progress in life.

This reminds me of a story that is quite famous here in our area about a young woman that was murdered, and twenty years later her ghost supposedly visited her mother telling her that this young women's husband had killed her. I had a ouija board when i was a teen. My mom had passed away when i was 15 and i lived with my brother. After laying down the law about never trying to "conjure" up moms spirit, my brother let me and my friends play with it outside. We asked dumb stuff and we all went around asking who we were in our passed life. Mine said i was a pilgrim girl and had died at age 17 from bleeding to death after getting a tooth pulled. Fast forward a few months, i had turned 17 in April and had a molar pulled in June. It bled and bled until they took me to ER and they wound up putting stitches in to stop bleeding. I was so sick from the amount of blood i had swallowed and my pillow and blanket looked like a murder scene. Let me tell ya, that board never came out again and it just disappeared from the drawer I had it in. Think my sister in law may have cleaned my room 😁

When I was a teenager my grandmother died. She had many children and some lived in other states. Every once in a while the family would all get together for a family reunion. I don’t know who had the board but I had heard the rumors but I didn’t really believe them. My cousins and I started playing with the board. The last question I asked the board was “how old would my grandmother would be if she were alive today. “. It gave us a number. We didn’t know if it was correct so we had a cousin that was autistic. If he ever knew your birthday he knew your age even if you saw him 5 years later. So I go and ask him the question and he gave me the same number as the board. I got chills and went back to my other cousins and told them I was done and they were too. Don’t know what happened to the board.

@habslover23063 күн бұрын
The cemetery was started in 1906. All the metal gravemarkers are flush to the ground. This gives the 300 acres the appearance of a large enjoyable park, rather than a cemetery full of the dead (though this "memorial park" has over 360,000 buried there.) The flush "stones" also allow the use of industrial-size lawnmowers to maintain the grounds in perpetual care. Even the trash cans are camouflaged as logs. Some couples have married at one or another of the chapels; the Wee Kirk o' the Heather is beautiful (and looks right out of Scotland).

I've avoided Ouija Boards (scared of them) but my late aunt taught me how to read people's personalities and futures with ordinary playing cards. I learned alot about people's backgrounds and future that I didn't expect nor wanted to really know, most of it relationship and money problems. One day I was approached by a highschool classmate that I only knew slightly. He was very shy and withdrawn but a talented artist. He wanted to know about his future as graduation was only 2 months away. After he mixed the cards and I laid them out, they revealed imminent disaster, illness and death in his family. I was horrified and told him the cards were bad and asked him if he wanted me to continue and reveal what they foretold about his family. He told me to continue, so I informed him of the imminent, unexpected death of a close female family member. Becoming alarmed, he said nothing more and left. Two weeks later his mother who he was close to, collapsed and died suddenly at home. He avoided me and never spoke to me again. I stopped reading cards after that reading, not wanting to experience anything like that again. That happened 50 years ago, I still carry that sorrow and have avoided anything to do with summoning spirits etc. Learned my lesson.

It was nice of you Ron to leave her the pretty flower 🌼 and to tell her story. Hopefully it will be a warning to others I wouldn't touch an Ouji Board for all the money in the world. You never know what might come through. Somewhere in Baltimore on a wall is supposed to be the 1st Ouija Board ever made - or something like that. Maybe the woman in this story spoke to a woman sprite from the past or maybe a nasty sprite was the one she was really speaking too-- Who knows. One thing though -- it isn't a 'game' -- You never know what might come through that Ouija board.

I've seen so many bad things with the ouija boards. The worst one was when I actually witnessed a demonic possession during a few of my friends playing with a board. We doused the board in lighter fluid, and tried to light it on fire. It burned the fluid all off and the board was unharmed until we broke the eye. After we broke the glass eye the whole board caught fire and finally burned up.
