Hi Myles. I completely feel this! I could talk about this for hours, but just to say I was knocked off my feet with anxiety and depression when I was 25, I withdrew so much I became agoraphobic for two years. I dragged myself through it (I had no one around me at the time who understood my suffering so i was totally alone in my misery, and I truly didn’t think I would ever come through it) but the intensity of the anxiety didn’t leave me until recently. I’ll never be the person I was before, because for me the anxiety is embedded for many reasons that I am aware of. But I wanted to say I read all the books you mentioned and have just finished reading The Emotion Code, and it has really spoken to me. This, and becoming more spiritually aware (when I’m anxious nowadays I watch the Gaia channel) has really made me less fearful, more content and at ease and better able to roll with these human emotions we have to live with. If you haven’t already then I would recommend reading The Emotion Code by Dr Bradley Nelson, and considering Kinesiology. I have my first session next week. I strongly feel that anxiety (the debilitating kind) is the Universes way of telling you you are out of alignment with who you truly are and it forces you to work on yourself- just my take. Thanks for sharing. It always helps both sides when we share our struggles. We are all in it together! Come back soon and tell us more of your Ayahuasca experience, please 🙏 take good care

Thank you for sharing your journey so openly and in such a positive manner. I watched it to the end and learned a lot in the process. I'm going to get those two books and read them. I have been following you for years and I'm glad you've made this brave video. Thank you.

Hey Myles, thanks for sharing this and also your past FBA videos I learned a lot from. I can relate to a lot of your points, depression, anxiety, family issues. For a lot of years I ignored all feeling and pretended to be fine. Over the last 10 years, it's been a journey of counseling, being transparent, getting away from screens, silence and solitude, facing past hurts, deeper community connections. Slow, but steady progress and I feel pretty good these days. For me, the spirituality piece has been fulfilled by Christ, it's something that helps me to make sense of things intellectually and experientially, provides purpose, and an unconditional love I've never seen anywhere else. Seems like you're on a good trajectory and I look forward to seeing you even healthier in the future. Best wishes.

Myles - great to see you once again on here and once again sharing your life's path. You are an amazing individual - I was exposed to you a long time a go via the FBA vids but always made a point to absorb whatever level of content stories you choose to share with us. Keep pressing on. 23:10 is your truest statement... Keep well my "friend" and if this helps you in any way - just know that there will always someone here that appreciates it and shares in your pain / love / path. Cheers from Canada mate.

Watched through until the end, Myles. It's great to see you back on KZbin, I thoroughly enjoy all the content you put out, and you've inspired my channel to an extent. I've dealt with gut issues in my 20s and some mild anxiety sporadically along with that. I know we discussed this once and you recommended the mind-gut connection book you referenced here, I really need to read it, actually I should do myself a favour and read both books you mentioned. I know we tried to set up a call some time last year, which never happened, but I eventually found the answer to where I'm happiest, living in Dubai, finally found my place. Anyways, about that call we never had, feel free to reach out any time and I'm happy to talk/help with whatever, I feel like our brains work quite similarly based on the obsession and inwards thinking you discussed. I admire you from afar based on everything I've seen on this channel and am wishing you the best, man.

Hi Myles, it is so great to see you back and make this video. Look at the comments below that show so many people care about you. I am just a middle age man who has 2 children dependent on me and 2 elder parents dependent on me very soon. I do feel you how stress and struggle life could be, especially through COVID for the last 3 years. I am pretty much just working and trying to earn money to support my family. My life belongs to everybody, just not me. When you look at the other side, you are doing something that is worth it. Watch my children grow up, try to have more time with my parents is something extraordinary. We all live under pressure. I hope you will be well soon. When I feel hard, I would go back to do some hobbies I love and used to do before such as play a computer game, play soccer or running to get myself release. I know it is easy to say and everyone is different. But I believe there must be something you love that make you happy and feel alive. My friend, please keep well coz there are still heaps of people care about you, love you and we all want you to be well!

I used to watch your amazon channel. Amazingly I had the body keeps the score recommended to me by a friend due to the trauma I've been through over the past couple of years. I've had similar issues not being able to switch off thoughts so sleep and depression a big issue. The cause is due to someone else who is clearly trauma'd too but has been vicious and narcissistic, wanting to destroy everyone in her path. Not being able to defend myself due to gas lighting and using woke culture as a weapon has been horrendous. I hope to start therapy soon and to finish the book, but also to stop the cycle of trauma from moving on. Thanks for being honest and sharing this. Much needed and I wish all the best to you too.

The idea of stopping the cycle of trauma is such a powerful motivator to me. Similar idea as wanting to leave a positive ripple on the world, but (I think) with a deeper understanding of how we are all already moved & shaped by the ripples of others.. and that those ripples are often driven by pain & suffering. But it does not have to be this way. Wishing you luck with your healing process, David.

Hello Myles. Hope you're doing well. Your story was exactly mine but in a different situation. Quickly... For me it was slowly sinking into a darker tone of life due to a tough childhood, and the change of pace when I left the military after serving as an EMT medic. My identity was shattered and also I learned to brace for negative experiences through seeing people get hurt so much. The anxiety lasted 5 years. It was bad and just put your experience in for me. Some things that helped me. Countless hours in nature, if you're aware of yourself meditation was not necessary, reading books just as you do like the trauma book which I have in my own phone, spirituality!!!!!, And also radical acceptance. Vulnerability. But you know all these things, the mind can find solutions on its own. What I will tell you is that the anxiety will go away. You don't need ayuhuasca, or mushrooms. All that is like a big bang. I think the best way to get there is nice and slowly. It took me 2 years but I'm done with it. You come out like a butterfly out of a cacoon is how I can explain it. I believe you will go through a spiritual awakening. It's always when some type of pain happens so much so that it knocks you off of your old fake confidence. Off of your high horse. And you're forced to give up everything because nothing really speaks to you as it once did. Then you deal with yourself for a while and once you come out of this stage you'll find yourself transformed. It's a beautiful but sad process that I feel happens to those who experience immense grief. What must you do... You must treat your life the same way you would think when you take too much weed or let's say ayuhuasca. The answer is all the same because It is a law of nature. You let go of control and you completely accept everything around you. Once you do that you radiate a different type of energy. I think your on the path. And it sucks now but it is necessary. Be patient and also know the power of words. I used to try to always find words to explain things but that was always my issue. I had anxiety this and depression that. Nothing ever changed. It all stopped holding so much power when I stopped trying to describe and explain everything with words. They're like spells haha. You got this myles. It's a blessing in disguise.

Your words are so comforting. I love how you describe the butterfly life cycle. I can fully relate to all of this. I have been here before except that this time is quite intense. I am very self-aware and know that this too shall pass. I have a few Spiritual awakenings, however, it's a lot of layers and this time seems like a very deep wound and I find myself resisting. Thank you for the reminders.

Have you read the Abraham Hicks material? Simple but beautiful in it's simplicity, and is also extremely consistent and unchanging in its message. Basically anxiety is the fear of the unwanted (it is just a fear of something that you have not consciously realised, but you CAN if you dwell on it, eg fear of entrapment in an unwanted situation) and you are then probably attempting to control the situation through action, which only works temporarily if you consistently return to the thoughts that is causing the fear. Everything happens from your mind and your perspective from it, which is why many advocate meditation. Distraction, focusing on the external physical world, can work IF you don't return to the internal thoughts again, but if you are an "introvert" then you probably will. Therefore it's a good idea to lay bare and explore your fears and accept them in time.

With respect the description of shapes and the dysthymia related sounds very similar if not clear example of dissociation - a very typical condition emerging from CPTSD and trauma.

God bless you brother . life is unfair so follow where the glide go, build your own nuclear family of 5 kids at least. YOU WILL THEN SEE YOUR INNER PEACE WILL BE FILLED HAPPILY AND FOR ETERNITY. May allah bless you. also try read religious books and disconnect from world for abit.. that may improve your stittion. i feel like you are holding your mind hostage regardless offeeling deepressed , so ease your mind from pressure and thus help elevate in decreasing your "soul fatigue". An extremely interesting and powerful video, watching your journey, psychological growth and personal transformation will hopefully provide solace for others suffering with similar issues. I find it genuinely fascinating to see your perspective completely shift over the years, that you document and share it on a channel that wasn't originally developed to discuss these issues, for me only makes it more powerful. I subscribe to the Jungian school of personal development, which others may also find interesting kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYumqoiYZbd8iMU looking forward to your next post.

Anxiety / panic attacks are fucking horrible. It feels like you're dying. At least, that is what your body is telling you at that moment. Basically, it's your amygdala telling you that something is seriously wrong (fight, flight, paralyze) However, it's a clear signal that something in your life is off and it's "hurting" you. Your amygdala is a smoke detector. Haven't seen the complete video yet, so maybe you'll get to it. But figure out what you're not okay with in life AND why do you think you can't do anything about it. The "not in control" aspect is what is causing the anxiety. Get in control.

The solution to all theses problems is Islam : believe in the one God, pray 5 times a day, fast the month of Ramadan. Get ready for the meeting with God after death. Because everyone will taste death. Read the Quran. Devils are real. And they surrounds the disbeliever to make him never find the right path. “Certainly, it’s by the evocation of God that hearts gets tranquility.”
