Challenging question to the Blogging Theologist ? You are wrong. Please quote the correct verse from the Torah. I will quote it for you ? ✅ Deuteronomy 18:20; But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die. ✅Q (1) Did Mohammed spoke in the name of other God’s, Yes, he spoke in the name of Allah? Was it a the name of a pre-Islamic pagan God ✅Q (2) Was the name of God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of Israel. Can you prove from the Jewish texts that his name was Allah. No chance. ✅Q (3) Did God sent his prophets to Israelites and to Jerusalem or to Arabia, to Mecca and to Muslims ? ✍️ Luke 13:33-34; for IT CANNOT BE THAT A PROPHET SHOULD PERISH AWAY FROM JERUSALEM.’ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! ✍️ Jeremiah 35:15-16; I have spoken to you persistently, but you have not listened to me. I HAVE SENT TO YOU (Jews/Israel) ALL MY SERVANTS THE PROPHETS, sending them persistently ✍️ Mat 23:37; O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! ✅Q (4) Do Muslims have any understanding of the The Hebrew Bible or Tanakh (/tɑːˈnɑːx/; the canonical collection of Hebrew scriptures, comprising the Torah, the Nevi'im, and the Ketuvim. Do they have any knowledge, understanding or insight of the New Covenant which God made with the Hebrews ✍️Jer 31:31-34; I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers..For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” ✅ Q(5) So, once the New Covenant has come in, they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” If both Jews and Gentiles are given the opportunity to know God and the forgiveness of their sins, tell me Muslims, is it required for God to give the Jews and to the Gentiles , another new message, a final revelation from God, that too, one contrary to all his earlier messages. ✅ Q(6) Why are you so callous, stupid and foolish ? How can you believe and also teach others that Mohammed , 😇 a pure man, Mohammed was not a sinner, ⚔️did not kill anyone, did not covet another’s wife, 🧕🧕🧕🧕🏾🧕🏾 did not commit adultery, did not covet another’s property, a role person to be imitated by the whole mankind.✍️ God has commanded, you shall have no God other than me, you shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not covet anything that belongs to another . How easily Satan and his servant bewitched you ? ✅ Having quoted so many references, IS THERE ANY 😇🇪🇭🧕 BRAVE MUSLIM, WHO COULD PROVE, from pre-Islamic written / archaeology sources that the name of God Is Allah and Mohammed was sent to Jerusalem, to the Jewish people and he died in Jerusalem ? JUST GIVE ONE REFERENCE. O Muslims, that is convincing to all people, that Mohammed is a prophet of God. TAKE IT AS A CHALLENGE and come forth with A reliable evidence / source. AGREE WITH GOD IN EVERYTHING, DO NOT REBEL, for THE GREATEST SIN IS REBELLION AGAINST YOUR CREATOR, but, AGREE IN EVERYTHING WITH THE WORD OF GOD. TO HIM SHALL BE THE OBEDIENCE OF THE PEOPLES. 2 Cor 1:19-20; IN HIM it is always Yes. For ALL THE PROMISES OF GOD FIND THEIR YES IN HIM.

What disturb me more is Robert’s book, ‘The Truth about Muhammad’. I read that book, and thought Rasulullah is The Antichrist, a villain who pretends to be Messenger of God and mislead everyone who bevomes Muslim into hell. Now, I am a muslim. Yet, my loyalty is to truth, righteousness, goodness, kindness, not to religion. If somehow my religion is used to force me to become evil, i reject the idea.

It is surprising and disappointing that no one (in the many reaction videos I watched and comments I read) challenged or even scrutinised the statements of the two Muslims as to the punishment for apostacy in Islam. Instead, the efforts seem to have gone into proving that Christianity was "as violent and intolerant as Islam". Where did the two Muslims get the idea that the punishment for apostacy in Islam was death? No verse in the Quran supports such claim. And the very few Hadiths pertaining to this matter do not support the claim either as they are specific about the condition of apostacy being accompanied by treason. Therefore, it is to be understood that the death penalty is the punishment for treason and not apostacy. I wish that PBD had invited knowledgeable Muslim scholars to this debate.

Well presented and lucidly explained Paul. Christian apologists and evangelists will constantly weave and bob, twist and turn to portray the distorted Christian faith through the lens of modern secular sensibilities until eventually they are cornered by the truth. Yet they cannot see, hear or speak of the truth that hovers over them .

Thank you, Paul for chipping in on the matter. I always find your explanations easy to understand and based on sound academics. On the matter of James, I think it would be fascinating to get to know him a bit more. And also, as a Muslim, how do we reconcile him with our faith? Did Maryam As, had a husband after Jesus As? Thank you 🙏🏽
@georgiacap92948 ай бұрын
If you want to know about James then you need to speak to an orthodox Christian. James is a Saint in our church. He is not Jesus biological brother because the Virgin Mary remained a perpetual virgin after giving birth to Jesus. So, your friend Paul is not the right person to analysis St James.

@@bakloulaya789 According to church Tradition Joseph was a widower with children. He was a righteous man and was betrothed to Mary. Once Mary’s pregnancy was exposed to Joseph he wanted to secretly divorce her but an angel of the Lord appeared to him to take Mary as his wife. Mary was very holy, and favored by God hence why she was chosen to carry the ‘uncreated God’ the Son of God in her womb. Mary and Joseph never consummated the marriage, she remained a perpetual virgin, hence why even today we still call her the Virgin Mary.

One good thing about these debates and their aftermath is that it's bringing the true Muslims and the true Christians even closer. The divide that's Deeping is between the haters and the hypocrites or those who don't want to see these 2 groups merging. I can understand now how practically all the Christians will become Muslims when the prophet Jesus will return. The truth will become undeniable.

Matthew 15 suggests to me that Christ pointed out the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and in fact did not tell them to go and kill anyone Which he would have had to if he meant to uphold that commandment Instead he pointed out the break from tradition and then through example of his teachings showed his new attitude of love and compassion which radically differed from the old traditions

🎯 *Key Takeaways* for quick navigation: 00:00 📚 This video aims to fact-check statements made by Christian apologist Robert Spencer during a debate on the Religious Roundtable podcast. 02:59 📖 Robert Spencer claimed that no sect of Christianity, school of thought, or tradition upholds the Old Testament law for Christians, saying it never did. This assertion is challenged. 09:14 ✝️ Matthew 5:17-20 suggests that Jesus did not come to abolish the Jewish law but to fulfill it, implying that aspects of the law were still upheld by early Christians. 16:23 🕊️ In Acts 21, James and the elders of the Jerusalem church appear to be Torah-observant Jews who still followed aspects of the Jewish law, despite being followers of Jesus. 23:02 ⚖️ Historical figures like Thomas Aquinas (13th century) and John Calvin (16th century) supported the death penalty for apostates and heretics, demonstrating the Church's past endorsement of such practices. 25:03 📚 Michael Servetus, influenced by Islamic and Jewish arguments against the Trinity, was arrested, tried, and executed for heresy by John Calvin in Geneva. 26:11 ⚖️ Geneva, under Calvin's rule, applied Old Testament laws, including the death penalty for heresy and apostasy. 27:20 💬 Robert Spencer's claim that no sect of Christianity ever upheld the Old Testament law on apostasy is not accurate. Figures like Thomas Aquinas, John Calvin, and early church leaders supported and implemented such laws. 28:00 📜 Evidence from Matthew 15 suggests that Jesus upheld aspects of the Jewish law, challenging the Pharisees for not adhering to it. 29:06 🕊️ In the 21st century, many Christian denominations, like the Catholic Church, no longer uphold the Old Testament laws on apostasy and have shifted their positions on various issues, influenced by secular liberalism.

An important point few make is that death for blasphemy, adultery, or apostasy are not in the Quran but only in certain hadith. These hadith are not accepted by all Muslims since they contradict Allah in the Quran saying you are free to believe or not to believe. Ironically these hadith which are literal word for word translations of the Old Testament Laws are condemned by Christians who believe the Old Testament is Divinely inspired scripture.

@SI000008 ай бұрын
@@T-Dog-Mendez I have probably read the Quran more than Robert Spencer and definitely know more Arabic than him and have not found these verses of death. If you find any, show me. The Quran only mentions 100 lashes for the adulterer and only after four, just, sane witnesses testify to seeing the act. The conditions are intended to be impossible to meet since few meet the criteria for being just and no practicing Muslim would actually look long enough to confirm if there was actual penetration. Merely seeing them naked together is not proof for conviction. Its safe to say that most killings of alleged adulterers in Muslim nations were not according to the Quran since the conditions are impossible to meet. The Quran does however say from beginning to end that we are free to believe or not to believe and that Muhammad's task was only to deliver the Message, not to enforce it. Just read the Quran and see for yourself.
@OmarAlikaj8 ай бұрын
You're referring to "There is no compulsion in religion" quote from the Qur'an, right? Yeah, the Qur'an points to tempting or forcing people to abandon Islam, or even attacking them, as justification to deal with perpetrators. You however lost me over Hadith being translations of the Old Testament.
@SI000008 ай бұрын
@@OmarAlikaj I didn't mean all hadith sound like the Old Testament, just these hadith about killing adulterers and apostates. From beginning to end, the Quran promotes thinking and offers us the freedom to believe or not to believe but these hadith are the opposite when they warn of death if you change your religion or leave Islam. Its impossible to accept contradictory statements at the same time.
