Or that other Greek wrestler who was so strong that his self confidence also betrayed him. He died when a cave started collapsing and he attempted to hold the roof of the cave. Reportedly he managed to help other people escape, but was finally crushed.

The best betrayal I ever saw was in World At War. There was a bug that would occasionally throw you into Hardcore matches when you hadn't selected it. This is important because no-one would normally use Martyrdom for a hardcore game for this very reason. At the start of the game, friend#1 shoots friend #2 in the back of the head. Friend #2 has martyrdom, so drops a grenade on death which kills the entire team, and friend #2 gets booted for team killing.

The calf lifting is kinda an example of progressive overload so it’s kinda accurate that as it slowly gets heavier you slowly get used to carrying it.

They could make a really good anthology series with the Greek myths. Start out with the creation myth and the titanomachy. Then the creation of humanity and the story of Prometheus and Pandora. It could then shift to the heroes. Start out with Perseus and Bellaraphon. It could then tell the story of Atalanta, maybe Castor and Pollux. Then start the story of Heracles, which is then interrupted by Jason and the Argonauts. Then finish Heracles' story. Then we should meet Theseus and the minotaur. Then on to the Caledonian boar hunt. Where we follow Peleus. This should then be followed by the marriage of Peleus and Thetis. Which then kicks off the story of the Illiad. And it should all end with the odyssey. I would say there could be around 4 or 5 seasons. They could also throw plenty of other myths in. Like Eros and Psyke, Orpheus(also an Argonaut), Oedipus and others.

This is near perfect patreon listing- the only thing that could improve it is if the patreon gets to add a nickname instead of their username and Nisha or whoever has to drink a shot when they corpse it.

The story of the man carrying the pig up the mountain made it into the movie, it's the reason the Yelnats are cursed with bad luck, because he never carried madam Zeroni up the mountain in the end

Honestly Milo sounds alot like a greek demigod but with alot of lost stories linking him to the gods. Like a boastful version of Hercules.
@overlordmason Жыл бұрын
The pig bit was in the movie, but they don't emphasize the fact that you're getting jacked carrying the pig up and down a mountain. I don't know if they emphasize it in the book either though since i haven't read it in like twenty years. In the movie they show him leading a very large pig up a mountain, not even carrying it.

Can we talk for a second about the chillest dude in the Greek Pantheon... Hades. He owns literally anything beneath the surface. So all the miners pray to Hades. All those who respect the afterlife and its people pray to Hades. And he doesn't give people crap. Even the game Hades doesn't really give proper respect to Hades since the God is seemingly the nicest guy of all of the Pantheon and Persephone only leaves Hades because otherwise her mom would plunge the world into eternal winter. Keep in mind, whatever happens up above means nothing to him, but he still goes, 'tell your mom I said hi' to his wife every year for something that is of literally no benefit to him at all. He goes out of his way to help others when he could just as easily say 'nah, you're mine now', and is only ever cruel to people who genuinely earned it. I mean, maybe I'm wrong on a couple of these points, as there are varying stories for each story, but for the most part, Hades seems to be the most balanced and kind of the Gods. Likely because... Everything goes his way eventually anyway.

About the tangent about the bull he carried everyday l think his strength makes sense because of it he was applying the modern foundation of fitness called progressive overload centuries before if was cool and the weight you wrote is 500kg was a world record for a while but it got broken by a guy named Thor who is 6”9 and you said this guy was 7”00 and then you said he lost due to weak cardio so he probably weighed alot so it’s possible to lift and probably they weighed lower back then because we now optimized their nutrition for maximum amount of meat

Um, actually 🤓, Osiris was the god of death and the underworld, Anubis was more of a butler who took your heart and put it on the scale. He was also the protector of graves, tombs, and anywhere the dead is held, i remember the reason for this being that because jackles would always dig up corpses the ancient Egyptians made a god with the head of a jackle so that either the jackles would be flattered and stop digging up graves or so that Anubis, having the head of a jackle, could speak to the jackles so that he can ask or bargain with them to stop digging up corpses.
