Idk, you should look up “Karl Smallwood Accent” there’s a 13 second clip of him saying a phrase in his actual accent and most Brits like myself don’t get it because it contains regional slang. But yeah his toned down voice is just vaguely Northern English, like that’s about it. Easily understandable.

It just baffles me how people just can't understand him. Maybe it has helped me that a number of KZbinrs I like are from the UK, but even with Karl's specific watered-down accent, I just haven't had an issue. I think it just also might that some people just don't like change and just wanted another way around to say, 'I don't want this guy, I only want Simon.'

I have never had an issue understanding your accent, but I know some people that can't understand anything once the slightest of accents is involved and they have to make a huge deal about it. Don't worry about them, they're buttheads (Queue American Flag background with an Eagle calling in the distance).

He was teaching how to do different accents for DnD and he described doing an American accent as being really chewy.
