There was a clip in picture of Niles ironing his trousers, but KZbin decided that we can't have money if we keep it in. So you'll have to use your imagination I'm afraid. - Lucas

You should check out the pictures where they took Norm's actor when he was ~30 and photoshopped modern clothing onto him without touching anything else about him. He could easily pass for ~30 today. It's all about the clothes and hair.

My favorite Karl's tangents are the ones where for the few minutes he trails off, he's just so enthusiastic about the thing he's talking about, I straight up for get what the video was about until someone or himself reels it back in. There's just such a delivery that I feel just as engrossed in whatever the topic is. Lol. Then I'm like, "can't wait for THAT episode"

The one take silent scene is definitely one of the highlights of the show; iirc it perfectly matches the classical music score that was used over it, which is what makes it even more awesome than it already was. It’s a shame that Niles isn’t returning for the Frasier spinoff/revival, but on the other hand that should help it not feel like a complete rehash of the original and hopefully Nile’s and Daphne will make a cameo or two in future season. And speaking of Only Fools, iirc Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney) is in the new Frasier as a recurring character isn’t he; so he’ll probably play a Nilesesque character.
@Darxide23

He was so type cast after Frasier that all he wanted to do was get away from it. The last thing he wants is to revive the character that nearly ended his career.

I think VSauce did a vid that talks about why "people used to look older," and it's basically because they're wearing clothes and hair styles that were current at the time, but we associate with old people now, which ages them.

I think the “people looked older” thing is both the effect of people wearing “older generation” clothes, us knowing this is a previous generation who are old now, plus being dressed and made-up to look older on tv. Or so I think, idunno. I do know that everyone on shows I watched as a kid looked super-old at the time because I was super-young and are cemented that way in my head, but I’m only guessing why there’s the same effect for people just finding the show now 😛 Also also-I was lucky to see David Hyde Pierce onstage in Spamalot and he absolutely stole that show, too. So phenomenally talented.
@shrimpbisque

It's partly that and partly actual health reasons. Smoking and drinking were more popular back then, so people aged slightly quicker. Vsauce did a great video on the subject.

Not sure if there’s an appropriate place to make topic suggestions, but author Max Brooks in an interview, I believe one of Chris Hardwick’s podcasts, revealed that his mother, actress Anne Bancroft, Mrs. Robinson of ‘The Graduate’, would record bedtime stories for him as a child, and they would have a star studded cast of actors Anne and her husband, Mel Brooks, were friends with. So this kid got personal radio dramas to help him sleep. He took this experience with him as an adult when producing audiobooks for his novels, such as World War Z and Devolution, with a full cast of celebrities such as Mark Hamill, John Turturro, Kate Mulgrew, and many others. Also, you might find Devolution interesting in light of your recent Bigfoot WikiWeekends episode. The book describes a high tech green community in the mountains of Washington State, but it gets cut off from the outside world when Mount Rainier erupts, trapping the people with a pack of Sasquatch, who are very hungry…

One of my favorite instances of actors "corpsing" as it's called (so named because it's the worst thing you could do while playing a corpse) is in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It's the scene where Sir Bedevere is using logic on the villagers to explain what to do with the "witch". When he asks the villagers "why do witches burn?", they take SO LONG to think of an answer that one of the villager actors, Eric Idle, had to bite the scythe in his hand to keep from laughing. You can literally see him bare his teeth and chomp on the blade to keep himself steady

Breakout Kings was not a direct Spin-Off. They had a "shared universe" so to speak. And it had 2 seasons. Ended with a bit of a cliffhanger, like always. Actually a decent watch. And I always loved Niles in Frasier. Wouldn't say that Frasier looked 28 in that picture either though. Damn. I'm 33 (starting tomorrow) and I look younger than that!

The ending to the car park episode of Seinfeld made even the cast crack up. As Michael Richards exits the car that won't start (which was unplanned; the car was meant to start normally, but didn't) and casually leans against it, you can see Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jason Alexander overtly laughing in the back seat.

They hired David Hyde Pierce to do the voice of Abe Sapien in Hellboy so that they could have a big name actor and he said "what are you doing hiring me to revoice this guy, he's fantastic!" And he refused to put his name to it. He did it and I assume he got paid but Doug Jones got the acting credit and now he gets voice roles so that's solidarity I guess.
