Yeah I got to agree regardless of the fact that I watch Batman beyond you're in the US when it was airing it's just a better title of the 2 choices. Incidentally, team batman with old Bruce and young Terry-& arguably new oracle if you count his friend- is actually my favorite Batman. (Actually, I shouldn't call him old Bruce since he doesn't call himself Bruce in his head anymore in that iteration as depicted in the episode where someone tries to trick him into thinking his self-conscious is speaking to him)

I refuse to get upset about casting choices in superhero movies ever since somebody decided that Wolverine should be played by a tall Australian who was known mostly for being a clean cut dancer who smiled all the time and it worked. It worked so well.

For most of the time Conroy portrayed Batman he wasn't out. He didn't come out publicly until 2016. He wrote a great comic for DC's Pride Collection about himself and his life called "Finding Batman" that I highly recommend. Kevin was the night, he was vengeance, HE! WAS! BATMAN! and his work will be sorely missed.

Jawline, grimace and all, Stallone's still the perfect Judge Dredd imo, and despite its flaws his was an entertaining movie that absolutely looked and mostly felt like the comics, unlike the blandly generic and humourless reboot, whose main visual similarity to the comics, and I suspect a big reason for its success, is its admittedly inventive goreporn, and the ridiculously overhyped 'authenticity' of the actor's refusal to remove his helmet.

Battinson's movie, I feel, is a great distilation of all the best, non-psycho parts of Frank Miller's Batman, while also weaving Miller's brutality into a character arc where Batman learns that you can't always force your way into situations. I'm really excited to see this Batman develop, and for the first time I feel like we have a Batman that could be friends with other superheroes, who isn't pessimistic beyond being human, and could even have his own Batfamily! Edit: Also, love and respect to Conroy, RIP

One thing that i think accelerates this live-action batman ahead others is the concept of a more young and naive batman, kinda like his portrayal in batman year one. This batman might seem to be bad at fighting when he cant dodge, and he can be easily overpowered, but that is just the crux of a young stupid bruce wayne whos trying to find his way in the world. also karl i really like this new setup, maybie just a green screen and youll be perfect :)

I'd say why people didn't care about it, is because it wasn't made into a publicly stunt. Like we had the guy who played magneto was gay but it wasn't the focal point it wasn't we chose him because of his sexual preference. He was a good actor who fit the role and that's what people want pick actors that are going to excel at their roles not based on the sexual preferences. So ya if you came out and announced any role in pretty well any movie was selected based on that then ya people would be mad.

So I will say I agree with you all in part of people letting online personalities form their personalities too much. But also, it's not a bad thing to listen to someone who can explain their opinion in a well spoken way. And then agreeing with them, as sometimes KZbinrs also have good opinions. And discounting people who say the same thing just because a KZbinr said the samething doesn't really add to the conversation.
