16:20 the perfect example of the use of that orbital plate harvesting asteroids that I mentioned a few videos back.

yeah I've run out of seeds randomly too. For my setup it was the inserters and belt not clearing fast enough to let the seeds also unload. Just had to add an extra filtered inserter to pull the seeds out. Keeping everything flowing really is difficult sometimes! Great series, thanks!

I used a sushi belt that had nutrients and filtered the seeds and spoilage out with splitters, with some recyclers to convert excess nutrients to spoilage with a simple circuit network. Then later on I expended and made all belts end with filter inserters for spoilage with that spoilage redirected to a heating tower power plant, a recycler destruction setup or just waste burning heating tower, depending on space in my spaghetti lol

Sorry if you explained this in a previous episode, I don't always watch in order, but why do you use boilers and steam engines when the heating towers and turbines are just better? You can easily feed them excess spoilage (or convert excess nutrients in spoilage with a recycler) or any extra rocket fuel or unused jelly nuts of course, given how cheap it is on gleba. Like the second I landed on gleba, I used heating towers exclusively and it worked perfectly. Heck, I even imported nuclear fuel for the first trip instead of bringing a nuclear reactor (less risky in case of attack).

Heating towers are SO bad. I watched Antielitz stuff THOUSANDS of items into a heating tower to start power, and he still wasnt able to even get to 500 degrees to start the turbines. (He got around 234 before he gave up and went to the superior Nuclear solution, which is what I had been using). And if you used bots instead of belts and limited your production, you would have the problem of so much spoilage. Belts are horrendous for jelly, mash, and nutrients., A small holdup and you get a massive chain reaction of spoilage.

@@KatherineOfSky I think you have written off heating towers too early. I have only 2 heating towers, 1 fed by rocket fuel from Bioflux, 1 fed by spoilage. If heat is under 600, the inserter feeds the rocket fuel in. Surprisingly, it infrequently needs to use a rocket fuel. I should also note, I use very few bots, so your power draw seems excessive due to all the bots.

hey kat just coming to your series after coming from someone else are you enemies set on peaceful
@KatherineOfSkyАй бұрын
Nope. Enemies are normal/no expansion. I talked about the setup in episode 1 :-)
