That clip is the most I’ve ever listened to Jordan Petersen and I think I lost 100% of my braincells. Actually shocking that a college signed off on him (although not _that_ surprising, considering most colleges are just as bad grifters as he is.) imagine walking into to class and prof. Petersen is in the middle of explaining how the rainbow is dividing white people😭

Ben Shapiro is the perfect example of why music classes and conservatories need to actually acknowledge hip-hop as the transformative genre and cultural touchstone that it is. there are far too many professionals (from all areas of work in music) who hold the same holier-than-thou beliefs about hip-hop that Ben does

People who are like "Jordan Peterson's self-help stuff really helped me" or "okay but he's really smart though" genuinely puzzle me. Because no, he's not. He's either speaking nonsense or regurgitating common advice. How did this help you? JBP always takes some extremely basic cultural messaging he sees floating around in the zeitgeist/sees a lot of people seeming to believe and lots of media subtextually promoting, and then restates them in a way that sounds original and makes him sound "deep." He did it with semiotics and bad philosophy during his academic career, then he did it with self-help/advice, and now he does it with social conservatism.

And when I listened it for the first time I was like "well it's stupid and just lies, makes no sense but musically it's not thaaat bad" The problem is that none of it makes sense and every dumb lines are just too bad to make the sound compelling and featuring Shapiro was never gonna make a song more listeneable. Great as a conservative political move cuz they all simp for the guy but in terms of music ...horrible move. I know he's supposed to have a musical background but damn you truly would not guess.
