Anyway, not Ben Shapiro suddenly identifying as a rapper just because he wanted to chart highly. He's just an interloper taking advantage of the space. He'll never be a real hip-hop artist. Only rappers and hip-hop artists who started their careers in rap and hip-hop should be considered for the top 100.

Parts of the original movie honestly aged really poorly IMHO, it's just that the iconic lines/moments stay so iconic that nobody really cares to dissect the worst parts in great detail (a lot of it is Tina Fey making racial jokes, although some of it is high-school-typical slurs and period-typical homophobia (my understanding is kids are less unironically homophobic now?)). Anyway, it didn't age THAT well.

Honestly, just from the clips we've heard in this video, the opening number seems like a bop.

There's a decent classism/elitism critique hidden somewhere in "This is how your people dance," but the show/script doesn't really commit to it and follow it through. They seem to focus on the generational tension more than the elitism.

It seems like the songs in general are more upbeat and cheeky than I would have gone. These aren't deep cuts at all, but thinking of OBCs like "Les Mis" and "Wicked," they're both way better at being foreboding, and communicating "someone/multiple people are about to die, or get their lives ruined" in the opening numbers and running musical motifs? Given that this show is about someone who fucking DIED, in a national tragedy at the time, a tragedy that was also transgressive for the British royalty's control and PR (some people still think the royal family had her killed)... Shouldn't the music communicate the gravity of that more? (Also, why make a musical about a person with known mental health issues, if you don't want to talk about mental health?)

So I’d say Spree is a horror social media movie, and more to the theme of this movie, Nerve takes a social app and threatens people’s lives by having them accept dares and they’re just watched by a bunch a viewers the whole time.

So I watched Mean Girls (og) 2 days ago for the first time, and started the new movie yesterday cause I wanted to listen to the songs, and the way some of them were cut and changed was very weird. Plus I felt like it did focus on some things a bit more which was nice, then speedrunned everything else, like Cady's first few days at school. Random stuff like the Christmas dance were changed, and Regina hit by the bus seemed like background to Janis singing. Still prefer the original, I'd love to see the musical on stage though.

I think 50 cent is going to be playing the character that gives the leads exposition on the killer by either having escaped previously or by infiltrating the killer’s base. The real killer is the boyfriend that was missing; him being a part of the supposed kidnapped is just to throw the audience off. Hoping for a follow up video when this actually comes out because I’d love to know if I’m right, but I will definitely forget all about this movie
