I am no LBJ fan, especially in the GOAT debate (it's Jordan by a mile), but talking about VORP you clearly haven't looked at the playoffs. LBJ is 3 of the top 4, 4 of the top 10, and 6 of the top 20 seasons of all time. Jordan is zero of the top 5, 2 of the top 10, and 5 of the top 20. Lebron's best claim for GOAT status is that he has been very good, for a very long time. Which he has been, undoubtedly. He wasn't the best (league leader) like Jordan was. The advanced metrics he did lead the league in (Win Shares, Box Plus Minus, PER, VORP, etc.) Jordan either put up better numbers or lead more times. Or another player did. James isn't HIM, it's that simple.

I was watching the 93' finals in Chicago, I was 9yrs old going CRAZY when Paxton hit that 3 and Grant made that block to seal the deal. That era of BB was the golden era not just because I'm a chicago fan, but because there was a handful of teams in both the east and west that had a legit chance to win it all. That to me clearly makes MJ the GOAT considering who he beat. Magic Johnson's lakers, Clyde Drexler's blazers, Charles Barkley's Suns, Shawn Kemp and Gary Paytons Sonics, and the poor poor Utah Jazz with malone and stockton. Not even considering teams like the Cavaliers, the Knicks, the Pacers, on his way to the finals. Has to be the best era of the nba.

How awesome is that!? You were in chicago watchin it in 93 and i was in phx.....it was a struggle for me but I was rooting for Jordan cuz he's the reason I even cared about basketball. When Grant got that block on KJ I walked back to the living room doing the Jordan fist thing lol. All my friends hated me that year when it came to basketball. Stats today should not be compared to stats of past eras... the stats nowadays are so inflated it doesn't make for a true fair comparison. Look at Luka... he would NOT be puttin up these same numbers if he played in the 80s or 90s, jokic would not be doin the same things, he'd b an absolute liability on the defensive end, Wemby would pretty much be confined to just a rim protector bc he would not be able to get on the perimeter and dribble the ball like he does now wit they way they played defense back then. Hell, even steph curry wouldn't be doin what he does if had played back then bc they wouldve gotten physical wit him and run him off that 3 pt line and don't even get me started on lebron... he would probably jus be a role player comin off the bench wit his no skill having ass... wouldnt jus be able to rely on your athleticism if he played back then.

I don’t care if LeBron James wins 20 more NBA World Championship rings, just as long as LeBalco Raymone James doesn’t win his 5th ring in this 2023-2024 NBA Finals. And then we can all forever say that both Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant won their respective 5th (FIFTH) NBA World Championship rings in their AGES 30s, and LeBron James won his 5th (FIFTH) NBA World Championship ring in his AGES 40s. Jordan won his 5th ring at AGE 34/YEAR 12, Kobe won his 5th ring at AGE 31/YEAR 13, and LeBron has only 4 rings at AGE 39/YEAR 21. If you think 🤔 about it… He really only played 13 seasons! 1984-85 18 games, 1994-95 17 games. His 1st year (2001-02) with the wizards he played 60 games. Had he wanted to go for longevity LeStat Padding, he could’ve played all 20 years. In his 14 years worth of full season games played, he scored 32,292, averaging 2,523 points per year. Had he played another 5 full seasons and averaged 2k points per year, he would’ve shattered Kareem’s record. The 2 dumbass Jerry’s wanted to break up the team and rebuild, which they did, and I believe his only chance to add another tittle or 2 would have been teaming up with Ewing in NY or Barkley in Phoenix or Hakeem in Houston or maybe following Pippen to Portland, but we all know… a GOAT never needed a wild sheep’s help to get the mountain top.

LeBron's ASS/TOV tends to drop as the big game approaches. I can`t imagine that a player who doesn't focus on scoring and is more of a passer and facilitator would have these shameful numbers 🤣 14:48 Because VORP is a cumulative advanced stat, like Winshare, not just Winshare/48, it favors players with more games played.
