I understand that but I also wonder if that just aging. If you were 20 today would you feel the same? Because there is more youth watching today than ever. No wrong or right answer just a thought. Thanks for watching

Most of bass fishing skill, pre scope, was faith in your knowledge based on the current conditions. You had to know what the fish were doing, not because you actually know and saw, but because you had faith in your own perceived understanding. If you were indeed correct about reality's conditions, that you would be rewarded because truth cannot escape itself. You would collide with reality as to become one with nature and truth. This is AWESOME to behold. A miracle which we create by hosting tournaments where the maximum level of angling skill is required to triumph. We behold Aaron Martens, with 3 fish in the box at 2pm, catch back-to-back 4lbers for the win. Flipping Docks all day. Holding it together, waiting on the tide. With faith in one's own understanding of nature and truth and the confirmation of this by nature, through the winning stringer of bass. That is why we all love bass fishing. FFS, has robbed us all of this, for five years or more. MLF comes closer, however much skill is mitigated by blind casting the jackhammer.

being fairly new to following the elite series with the seriousness I have I have to say that I didn't know who Clark was, but in the last 3 years it feels like he's one of the guys just out there fishing for the top 60, not a lot of personality on stage, "we'll catch em next time" and off the stage guys. I'm glad I listened to this and found a new respect, but if it wasn't for his saying it was FFS it would have been the payouts to complain about in the future that drove him out. I would love to try thos AFTCO Cutwater Gloves as an ice fisherman and never finding something to stay warm and dry and still run a screen to check maps and such.

My opinion on Forward facing sonar is simply this. I think all anglers should be able to use them if they can afford the technology. Before my health started going south in 2017, it wasn’t unusual for me to go out and fish 250 or 300 days a year, even if it was for just two or three hours a day. I would do it every day and enjoyed every minute of it. Now that my health has gone south, I’m still able to go fishing, just not as often as I used to. I may fish once a week if I’m fortunate. I don’t fish a lot in the summertime because I did not take very good care of my body when I was younger and as a result, I can no longer handle Fishing for a couple of hours in 100° heat with 90+ percent humidity. If I could afford Forward facing solar technology, I would definitely use it because it would make the little bit of time I’m able to spend on the water more efficient. It would simply make it easier for somebody like me to go out and locate fish and also learn a lot about fish behavior observing on live scope. Hank Parker has said that many times. And just because you have a live scope or forward facing sonar does not mean you’re going to catch fish. I’ve watched some of the best anglers in the world, both bass and crappie anglers, watch fish on forward facing sonar and drop their lure directly in to the school of fish and literally not get a single bite. You still have to present the right lure in the right manner in order for you to get them to bite. It’s the same way with the Alabama rig as well. The thing most people don’t realize about the Alabama rig is it is very limited to what you can do with it. It’s not a rig you’re gonna throw in heavy cover or extremely shallow water and catch fish. It’s primarily for fish that are congregated on schooling baitfish And also covering water. Common sense comes into play here. Unfortunately, common sense is common as it once was. I never thought I’d get it at age right say stuff like that, but I guess wisdom has come with old age in my opinion. Anyway, God bless you all and y’all have a great week.

Hello Dave. "Aftco Break Water gloves." Just want to get that out of the way. 😆 Now congrats on Mr. Wendlandts retirement, it's a shame that a guy with a stellar career as he does, believe the only reason he can't compete is FFS. Maybe it could have a little to do with getting older? Being a guy crowding 60, I know I can't do what l did when l was in my 20s and 30s. I can't compete with them. Also, l could afford to retire, so l did, and l love all the freedoms it affords. Dave, one thing l remember them saying was, " we need to grow the sport." Now we are seeing the fruits of that, and the old guards are not happy, and that may be one problem. If you want to grow the sport, it's with the youth, we had our chances now it's their turn. There are going to be more changes at Bassmaster if viewership does not increase. If you look at the numbers, it has dropped over the last two years. And that can't continue. The old boys club is going away for better or worse, but every individual pro sport is mostly youth dominated with a sprinkle of veterans mixed in. Go, tight lines, and go Canada 🇨🇦 Regards, Steven.
