And to boot, anyone can watch the VH1 Behind the Music about this and see that Victoria did not cause his drug addiction. He was so badly addicted to drugs that it hurt their relationship and according to her, she gave him an ultimatum and he chose drugs. BTW this VH1 special was aired in the 90's so that's almost 30 years ago. And in that special, they interview his brothers and they talk about Andy's addiction. It didn't seem like they blamed Victoria back then. What I will say is I was young when he died and the MEDIA blamed his drug use on their breakup but when you watch the VH1 special, it was the other way around, she broke up with him because he was so addicted and she felt helpless.

What really hurts is that Andy didn't realize how talented he was! He was a good actor as well and he also presented Solid Gold for a while and he was very good at it! Maybe Andy felt he had a less successful career compared to his brothers. I believe he should have fought a little bit harder for his daughter"s sake!

When Andy met Victoria, she was separating her first marriage! She thought Andy could further her career in singing, but that didn’t happen, she partied with Andy, did drugs with him, she wasn’t some innocent young girl! After they moved in together, Andy spent most of his money, she started seeing her plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills behind his back, then when she wanted to break up, she told the tabloid, it was her or the drugs? She married her wealthy surgeon in 1985 and Andy got very depressed and into more drugs, this is why the Gibb Brothers didn’t care for Victoria! Yes Andy had a substance addiction before he met Victoria but she did leave him for a richer man! Today Victoria is divorced from the plastic surgeon and lives very well on her Ranch. Andy has been gone 36 years now, very sad 😢 rest in peace 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I have had friends and relatives that died from drug addiction.. To a substance user, a drug of choice is simultaneously the best thing that ever happened to them and the cause of unbearable misery. The drug is The giver of happiness, life purpose, and pleasure, but at the same time a demon which possesses them and repeatedly foreshadows their destruction. The relationship with the drug is the greatest romance/tragedy imaginable, a tale of fatal ambivalence whereby the user soars confidently into the sky before horrifically crashing to the ground. The drug is not deceptive, it clearly communicates both the potential for joy and the potential for pain. One could argue that the price is literally and figuratively listed on the package. Clearly, the honesty is so brutal that ultimately the substance user must accept responsibility.

Andy became involved with actress Kari Michaelsen after his split from Victoria. It actually went on for awhile, but they kept out of the limelight most of the time. It's a shame that relationship didn't work out. She was at his funeral and seemed to care about him a lot and has spoken nicely about him since. As far as Victoria, she still leaves tributes and pictures of Andy on her Instagram once in awhile.

Andy Gibb had a substance abuse problem before meeting Victoria Principal. She has stated she gave him an ultimately us, me, help or alcohol and drugs and Andy chose alcohol and drugs, continuing on this path despite rehab. This caused his early demise. Andy was just someone predisposed to depression, and substance abuse, and addiction, and I don't think ever found the right intervention and it shows he wasn't always ready, willing, and able, despite all the family live and support. And fame and fortune. Who knows what his real demons were that won. Maybe Andy never knew either. And his family never knew. Some things about us we never figure out, address, and resolve. RIP, Andy over the 🌈 Rainbow Bridge.

I forced myself to watch this video after the bending of facts regarding Andy’s only marriage BEFORE his rise to stardom. He had a history of mental illness (i.e. depression and mood disorder) which caused him to self medicate before he became a millionaire and moved to Malibu. Before the “V” word, as I call her, because she played him like a record, took him for his money, and then dumped him for her plastic surgeon.

I cannot believe that Victoria had anything to do with Andy's drug addiction!!!! Andy was a druggie even when he was with Marie. IF you're going to tell a story about someone, it's better if you get your facts straight before doing a video. Marie talked about her relationship with Andy when she was on The Talk, and she was heartbroken that she had to break up with him because of his drug use. So, I highly doubt that Victoria had anything to do with it. AND Victoria was not into drugs.
