I'm definitely seeing Van Gogh's skies with that second set of papers. Gorgeous! That'd be a great way to upcycle decorative paper that you get when someone gives you a gift. Thank you for posting your videos. I've learnt a lot about colour from watching them. x

Stunning results! Would spraying the papers with something like Kamar or Golden Archival Spray also prevent fading?

Hi Elizabeth.... oh that's neat. Question.... if you can't get or can't afford these gorgeous papers in Europe? Could we make the base papers ourselves? I have a lot of Indian Khadi paper and wonder if anything is possible? Maybe Gold leaf via the gel plate then add the washes like you show??? Many thanks and and greetings from The Netherlands xxx

Wouldn't the dye become more permanent once/if it was coated with acrylic medium?
@ElizabethStHilaireАй бұрын
@@susanmarcoux7005 not at all. Acrylic medium has zero UV protect ton. All dye fades.

I am sorry I don’t understand…to protect from dyes fading you paint over with acrylics…I get that, BUT if the gold dye then resists the acrylic, then there IS no protective layer over the dye…only the background colour which should be very light anyway….am I missing something here?
@johannafritz4255Ай бұрын
The gold foil will not fade. It is the fading of the paper that you are protecting.
@ElizabethStHilaire29 күн бұрын
The gold is not dye. It’s metallic. Which will not fade
