This video is very helpful! I’m the first one in my family to attend college so this is all new to me. This is more specific question so I hope you’ll be able to answer if you get the chance: My mother has been disabled for several years, luckily my mother has been able to get some surgeries and start a new treatment- so she feels better and is going to get a job very soon. I was wondering if there is any special rules regarding the proof of income because she is going from disability to working? Or would we still just submit everything from the previous year?

I would say it depends on when she is expected to get a job. If she will get a job before you submit your application, then it would need to be included. Otherwise I would think it doesn’t need to be added until she actually starts working

Only one parent needs to create fafsa id. So when that parent fills out fafsa, should the parent report income and assets of both parents ? Thanks

Yes they should unless they are legally separated/divorced

What is the deadline to apply for FAFSA for 2022 fall school year?

So the FAFSA will open for the 2022/2023 school year in October 21 and close out in June 22, but each school and state will have different requirements for when you need to have it finished before the official deadline

The FAFSA does not give aid for international students, there are however a variety of different resources to get aid aside from the government
