Me when I see a new AFoOL podcast upload: Woohoo, a new episode! (click) Me when I see how long it is: Holy crap! Two and a half hours!? Me at the end: It's over already? Great episode, guys. Great seeing Stacy back as well. Wow, what a cool birthday gift she got. If anyone is wondering, I really like that old Imperial Flagship.

I'm the guy who wrote that super long comment on the Mtn Dew Darth Vader video :) The video just made me really frustrated how much the video got wrong and that he didn't credit any of the creators. Great podcast as always guys! It was great having Stacey back on the podcast, but Jaabo said I had to dislike if I was disappointed that Stacey left early, so sorry Joey... Crazy how expensive the vidiyo dragons have become, I remeber the vidiyo figure packs sitting at 80% discount at the supermarket just a few years ago lol. Looking forward to the next episode, keep up the great work!

It is nice to see ForBricksandGiggles join again. The Dark Forest sets were cool. I remember dreaming about them. Along with my love for trees and the outdoors, these few sets inspired me to start a huge forest build. Just gotta find the SPACE for it. Speaking of, at 1:53:12 , Earl says "If you wanna find out how much stuff you have, try to box it all up." Yes, i agree. I've been moving into a new (say it with me) SPACE. The hope is that it will become a more productive LEGO building Studio, while also keeping my other life activities separated. Yayyy! But also, now I'm realizing just how needed the extra ummm SPACE is for what little sanity I must still have. Good show overall, and I only had to skip the part about Endurance...because I'm trying to not buy one until I have money to spend on the hobby. Probably because I just bought more LEGO for a ummmm ...dark forest... Is Jaabo now performing comedy on stage? Congrats. Or perhaps condolences. I guess after trying on over 100 different shirts, you finally found one that was comfortable and would match your tie. Thanks Stacey, Earl, Jaabo, and Joey for always giggling and giving us the best latest old news around.

Great podcast once again 👍 Laughter is the best medicine and Earl's laughter is perfect. Only one thing is that I listen when doing a workout in the gym and have twice almost injured myself when Earl's laughter becomes infectious and I then burst out laughing, plus get odd looks with the sudden crash of weights. You might need a disclaimer at the beginning 😂🤣

I listened to you while doing my other hobby (painting wargaming miniatures) and maybe because of that background I've decided that I'd paint bricks for my next train MoC. Also "Semi" as in semi-truck because front is detachable from load and it's half a truck, like 6692 Tractor Trailer. On Speed champions they've got a deal for Formula1 for next year and they've made movie cars already (Bond, Fast & Furious). Lastly: I don't usually listen podcast, but thanks to Brian you all got new follower.

For once I’m actually listening to the podcast while building, instead of driving to and from work. I’m building BDP BrickCross, which perfectly ties into Jabbo’s question around about the 1:30:24 mark. Both BrickCross and Logging Railway digital instructions had good color differentiation. Like everyone else I prefer to have printed instructions, but at least these are good enough to build the sets.

Hey guys, another great episode! I still think you can make it to 3 hours ;) As I am writing this comment there is 1 copy of set 800-3 (1966 town plan) for sale on Bricklink. About $1300 USD, seller is in France, has a few pics. Hey Earl, I just finished building the X-Mansion, great set, I wish it had one more floor. Most of the figs are great! Looking forward the the Mutant Saga! I watched to the end so my pick for TV car is the car from Knightrider, K.I.T.T. Keep up the great content!

2:20:13 Ha! We had a Civic back in the 80's To be honest I would buy that in an instant if LEGO released a set of it.

Interesting episode as always. One thing about set ownership that is misleading and you sort of covered it, is that brickset only counts ownership of 1 set, no matter how many copies each person owns. So for the Galaxy Explorer many people, me included (I bought 5), bought a few to build the alternate builds. And I bought 5 because Walmart was selling them for half price. But very few people will buy multiples of the winter village sets. It would be very curious if Lego would release numbers of sets sold. But that will never happen. That information would hurt pricing on Bricklink. If no one knows how many sets were produced they can inflate the pricing.

@tynovel17 күн бұрын
What Lego needs to bring back is more nostalgia inspired Classic space and castle sets. Maybe Pirates and Town as well. And not only the big sets with the large price points but also the smaller sets like the Forestmen set.

My daughter made herself a SigFig that uses the wings from that red Vidiyo dragon. I wanted to help her make more SigFigs so she could trade, but those wings are apparently exclusive to that Vidiyo set so she's going to just have a one-of-a-kind SigFig.

But watch out with those raised baseplates, they take up a lot of 'SPACE' if you have a few... And also a fan of the dad jokes over here 🎉 I meant a blue technic pneumatic airtank with stickers, not a space airtank 😂 I have build the big technic volvo dumper and misplaced a differential in like step 100 and realised it 200 steps later. I took about 45min to inspect and see how to correct it "operation" and reassembling. But I loved the challenge and was happy with the extra build time I got. About overproduced sets: you forgot to mention dots and vidiyo... Maybe when you mount the cars vertical on the wall, that is less horizontal SPACE for dust to settle on? Does LEGO still make gas powered speed champions? Or only hover cars from now on... in line with what back to the future predicted... in the past... about the future... that is now already behind us... Grtz, SG from Belgium 🇧🇪

1:50:09 why do they call them semi trailers? wrong answers only... Google description, separates a list of items in a sentence; also separates independent clauses, while connecting them as related ideas, can be used to link items in a list, such as objects, locations, names and descriptions.....no wait that was - Semicolons

Pat Contri had a fun one recently, he found one where he plugged in one of his podcasts, and these two very human sounding generated voices had a full discussion/commentary. In regards to clip show channels... IMO you need to always show the channel name on screen. Description is not enough, as most will never look at it.

Nope, online instructions are worse than the printed ones. Try differentiating dark brown from dark bluish grey from reddish brown for maroon. The only reason these days I know it's a black piece on the new instructions is because of the white outlines. I was building an old Star Wars set the other day and without those white lines, I kept on using DBG pieces instead of black pieces for the set.

Dark Forest was a Forestmen wannabe that wasn't as great as the Forestmen, but they are still good on their own. The biggest set has some really good features. One thing they missed is that they didn't create a consistent look for the figures like the Forestmen.

When did this become a legal debate show? Tokens and stickers are cheaper than sigfigs. I think that’s a big reason people don’t do them much anymore. Jaabo, we also missed out on power lace Nikes from back to the future 2. The set I feel was over produced was the mandalorian as-st. People hoarded that set because they thought Cara Dune was going to be rare and valuable and it is neither. Star Wars rebels sets were a theme that was hated and on clearance but later became very expensive.

I don't know if you settled on overpriced or overproduced, but anyhow I think the Galaxy Explorer was a great set. It had 1254 pieces, some exclusive prints, 4 minifigs, 2 official alternate builds and retailed for $99.99. But best of all, it was a set you could actually afford, unlike the $400 castle or all the UCS star wars stuff.

I want the convertible car that tears of fears drive in everybody wants to rule the world. Oh, when the Saints go marching in Joey will invite me on the podcast to read comments for Earl so he doesn't die of laughter. Only real BrickTsar fans could guess Plan 9 from outer space 2 seconds before jaabo even said it about his copyright story. I once got copyrighted by someone who uploaded an illegal non-short remix of streamyard music for using streamyard music during a live stream filmed with streamyard. You guys are the only Americans who have properly acknowledged that the dramatic saturation of the Galaxy Explorer was at the fault of Walmart and the Mexico factory. that means it was strictly an American problem with American retailers for the American market. International retailers didn't make the same mistake. bricksonthedollar once joked on his old podcast about the "if it's not in my area and my friends aren't talking about it then it must be a bad seller" theory which is the epitome of a retail echo chamber

I watched that video that just stole clips from real LEGO content creators and I think what they should be doing is linking your channels and putting a disclaimer at the beginning. “If you want the correct information, links are in the description”. I don’t know everything about LEGO and what’s rare, but I could have just guessed and done a better job. I’ve seen a few of their videos and just shake my head every time.
