Fairly Epic Morning Catching Truckee River Trout in Downtown Reno

There wasn't too much to complain about during this morning's Truckee River fishing session. We didn't venture out west or east of town. Instead, we stayed in the downtown area. We did hook and lose a couple nice ones but, overall, it was a pretty stellar day on the river. We got a couple fish over 20", including my buddy, Sean, who yet again bested his huge brown from last week. This time, the fish was a 22" Long Duck Dong hen!

Thats a good morning on the Truckee. Grew up in Reno from 65 to 74 caught a lot of trout as a boy good memories.

Man I used to live at rivers edge apartments and just thinking of the dead homeless guy they found half eroded 🤢🤮🤮🤮 I can not fish that area!! Of down town

I feel ya. The homeless problem around the river definitely buzzkills the overall fishing experience in the downtown corridor
