I think the 6l80 gets it's bad reputation from the failures in the trucks. Too high fluid temps, torque converter lock up in 3rd gear and with AFM/DOD it always seems to be slipping it. I have one at the shop right now for a trans. With the aftermarket controller you should have better results

I tuned out the slipping in my van, they slip 10-30 rpm in every single gear. Coupled with inadequate fluid changes = a bad time

Ive been running E85 through their brushless external and have really liked it. Ran on straight low speed until I needed to turn it up and am now using the PWM referenced with boost. Working well even though it recommends 500hz minimum, it works fine with the max fueltech will do of 300hz. When I first installed it I easily snapped off one of the studs and they repaired it for me quickly. Give them a chance to work it out maybe. Mines also went through some gurgling after draining tank or sitting for a while and never has caused an issue.

I didn't see mention of any lock up adjustments for the 6l80e controller on Holley's video OR page, Can you confirm it's adjustable? Id be VERY disappointed if you couldn't make adjustments and it followed the terrible OE lock up strategy that kills the converter.... Very glad to see your use of surge tanks ! Just use pumps with check valves, don't add complications and possible failure points with external check valves...

I just had a Genuine Walbro 525 lph Hellcat pump die on me with less than 2500 miles on it. 🤷‍♂️. I had run some e85 mix through it, maybe it didn’t like it? Looking at the V2 535 lph e85 pump as the replacement

Good stuff Matt, happy almost Bday buddy!! I"m running dual in tank Walbro 450s in my 98 Tacoma LS turbo swap. I'd love to find a way to control them with a PWM signal so they arent going full bore all the time possibly even heating the fuel unnecessarily.. And since I am using a Terminator X I dont have enough I/O to split them up unfortunately. If I had to do it over again I would just buy a damn Dominator!! Oops.. When I redo my 67 Camaro thats what I' going to do on that one, lesson learned I suppose. I've got to do some research on using the Can bus setup that will allow additional I/Os with the Terminator. Unless you have those that you were testing available for sale?? If so sign me up and take my mulah!

Those check valves are going to be tight inside of the DW tank. You might be better off buying 2 hellcat pumps. The tank comes with adapters to fit the walbro diameter pumps

I've had pretty poor luck with that style of check valve. The Radium ones seem to be a pretty decent and compact design, and i like the Vibrant ones, too.
