Fairy stone state park Virginia, site guide and recommendations. Drive through view.

This is my video of our recent trip to Fairy Stone State Park in August 2021. I’m no expert in back in my camper in a site so these are just my recommendations as to sites I would feel comfortable getting when I go back to Fairy Stone.

I really love fairy stone. If you are pulling a house behind you to camp in, you are correct. This is not the campground for you. I would say anything over 25/30 feet is to big. I can’t stand a campground that has no vegetation and is essentially a parking lot. If you have a camper bigger than 25 to 30 feet you’re pretty much stuck with that type of set up. I like places like fairy stone because they’re still wooded. All the campsites on the outer ring are facing the woods. Most of those would not work for a large fifth wheel. Goose point would work better for larger campers and it’s only about 15 minutes away. It has camping right on the lake as well. If you haven’t ever been there, it’s pretty nice and the spaces are flatter and easier to get in and out of for the larger campers. .
