I like this so much I watch it once a month or so. “Back to Basics” just to remind me and let me know I’m doing great. 😊

I find that the longer the bristles are, the more water the brush will hold and so I mostly use mainly shorter, angled brushes to work with...also so helpful was that part on 'LOADING the brush for Pretty FLOWERS' and detailed work...Thank You for your Wisdom & for sharing.

I do too! I feel like I just can't get the one stroke consistency down. The neons barely show up, too.
@fairyfox5 жыл бұрын
@@9168W you are not alone on neons! Think of it as the buddy system. Look for one strokes that have a neon- but not all neon- by putting them next to a regular color they make everything pop- but will still load properly. Neons alone are best applied with sponges.

I have been searching for a brush load tutorial!! Your timing is impeccable. Thank you so much. I'm only about a month in to seriously pursuing face painting and just got split cakes and one strokes. Those are the ones that are hardest for me. I practice my line work on my legs while watching TV 😂🤷♀️
@SamanthaFontaine5 жыл бұрын
This comment made me smile(TV part)...I am also new to Face Painting World as a Career extra side hobby; One Strokes & Split cakes are cute but I need to be able to have fresh ideas on 'How to use' these and make the most out of them. Some can be quite expensive too!

I load my brushes like Animal from the Muppets is doing a drum solo compared to you 😬 I've always noticed your rounds you use for outlining always look crispy fresh n pointy tipped - now I know why mine look all beat up within a couple of weeks 🙈 .... this has been mighty helpful thank you

Kellie! I am so glad! There is a whole range of approaches. I have worked with painters that I couch, come-on really get in there and load! and others that need the slow down! don't use so much water. Watching yourself to notice what you do and how you can improve is an amazing way to get better! Yay you.

Hi Iris, I would be happy to share, I like Loew Cornell 7000 series and their gold handled rounds- and I like short bristled flat brushes like protoge, I also like a 1/2 filbert, but brand on that is still looking for a perfect one. Those are my work horses, and any face paint company will sell them! Best of luck finding brushes you love!!!

I don't know if the perfect brush is out there- but I definitely have some I prefer. For rounds I use a #4 7000 loew cornell and protoge 3/4 in flats are my fav.

@fairyfox5 жыл бұрын
It is a loew Cornell 7000 series.
@Officiallynelsonrivera5 жыл бұрын
Fairy Fox Design really wow I always wanted to try that series but I always see the other brand of. Lowell what you think about that brush? The reason I ask is because I love the point on it it’s not has round but more of point which I think would be good for mine work and maybe some tear drops would really appreciate your input?
@fairyfox5 жыл бұрын
@@Officiallynelsonrivera yes, LOVE this brush. Use it every day. It does have a great point, and it keeps it. It has such a good point that it is a little annoying for drops, it can scrape the center out- do you know what I mean? Anyway- it is the perfect black linework pen. Just bought 10 more.

Using paper instead of skin gives a wrong experience. Even using the brush vertically for paper gives different experience that using it horizontally for face.

My Double dips are always gloppy or straggly and dry
@fairyfox5 жыл бұрын
Balance is the trick isn't it? I will often go over the gloppy petals with a dry brush to pick up some of the extra paint, or wiggle the drier brush to try and coax some extra paint out. Also play with your paint brand, some do better double loads than others.
@starryeyedwish80055 жыл бұрын
@@fairyfox I never would've thought about trying different paint! Thanks!
