Faith Hill came out a short time after Shania Twain. I can remember my husband talking about how talented and attractive Shania was. And I kept telling him, you need to check out Faith Hill. She is just as attractive, and her voice is phenomenal.

So I'm 2 for 2 on Keith's playlist award 😂 At the time, a lot of country radio didn't think this song was country enough, it only made it to #12 on country charts. It did cross over and spent 11 weeks at #1 on the adult contemporary chart. In 2003, Faith won a Grammy for Cry - Best Female Country Vocal Performance.

PS: The Tin Cup 10 Year is 49.99. A lot of reviewers say its the best that Tin Cup makes and they do make a 14 Year and I think a 16 Year. I believe they are all about 84 proof.

Fantastic reaction. That’s exactly how I feel when I hear her. Her voice blows me away. Reaches into my heart. She can go from have silly songs to extremely intricate nuanced, belting mixed songs. Phenomenal talent

That was my first introduction to Faith. I grew up in a very conservative family and we basically only listen to classical music and old hymns. My first semester at college, 1,500 miles from home, I was incredibly homesick and overwhelmed and during Thanksgiving break I was alone in my dorm room listening to Christmas music and that song came on and basically put to words all the feelings I was experiencing. I probably listened to that song 50 times over the next few days!!! Good memories looking back!

I love this song. It came out right around the time I had a BAD breakup and I listened to this on loop. Yes. Like an Emo teenager. Her voice is out of this world. Another female singer Lorrie Morgan, "As Good As I Was To You."

I love Tim & Faith’s duets. Check out these songs: 1) The Rest of Our Life - must watch video. This is my favorite! Ed Sheeran is one of the writers of this song. 2) Speak to a Girl - video or live

Such a beautiful song and a great reaction. Faith is fantastic. I know you guys are metal and rock fans, so here another European suggestion. Not country, so not for this channel but you love stunning female vocalists and so I suggest you listen to Floor Jansen. She is from Sweden or Norway. And I don’t know how to describe the genre she sings. She is part of the band Nightwish and I think it’s an opera voice mixed with metal music. I would suggest the live video from Wacken 2013. Ghost love score. I know not country but her voice is stunning. Thank you for this great reaction.
@MrNiccholas2 ай бұрын
I thought that name sounded familiar then you mentioned Nightwish and I remembered why! Another reaction channel I watch has done a couple Nightwish songs! Not exactly my style so I didn't pay super close attention, but at your recommendation I will go back and check them out!!!
@Kat._Blue2 ай бұрын
@@MrNiccholas I just suggested her, because her voice is stunning. The music is definitely not for everyone but the bourbon boys like metal that’s why I thought of Floor. Like I said, really not country, I don’t even know how to classify the genre she is in but her voice is something else. And I’m a bit biased because Wacken is a heavy metal festival in Germany. And Keith is a fan of stunning female vocalists, and Floor is one.

I know you’re always looking for the powerhouse female voices, so lemme throw in a vote for Martina McBride’s “Where Would You Be”! The official music video is live, which is definitely the best way for that song to be heard 😎 It’s been awhile since she made an appearance! Love “Cry”! Such a powerful and underrated song.

I'm in shock right now! I thought I knew this song, but I've never heard it before! To be honest, I was actually a little disappointed when I was the title because I thought I didn't like this song. . . BOY was I wrong!!! That was one of, if not the, best broken heart/break up songs I've ever heard!! Here vocals completely sucked me in and made me FEEL her heartbreak. There was so much that could be said about her performance, but one thing that jumped out to me was several times when she sang the word cry, there was a change in her vocal texture and the only way I can describe it was a cry. I've heard other artists use a cry technique in their singing, but her's was so much more genuine and I could feel it though my whole body. Great reaction and this is definitely a song I need to go listen to several more times, and hopefully I can find a couple of different recordings, especially a live performance!

I love the studio version of this song, am glad this is the version that you watched. Unfortunately this is the one song that Faith struggles with live, understandably. A lot of her songs have a huge range, but this one is at the top. Martina McBride is one of the only female country singers I've found that can hit the notes consistently live as they were on the studio versions.

The song, video and voice were all very pleasing to me. I don't care what it's genre of music is, it's sweet. The lyrics aren't easy for me to understand but if it's as sad as our hosts describe it, then it's country to me. I can go read the lyrics and listen again and again ad to a play list. I loved the caddy too, hope it has a good stereo system. Thanks for another good combo of bourbon and pleasure....

Look up "There you'll be" by Faith.. it's from the movie Pearl Harbor
This album had more of a rock feel and the country community was very vocal about it. Tim McGraw wrote “Things change” in response to them.
