I’ll say this, growing up in North Jersey this man and his creation influenced me immensely. I never worried about being second class or anything close to it because of the imagery the show and advertising provided✊🏾

The power of Don Cornelius had nothing to do with hosting the show, anyone could have done that. Don’s power was in selling absolutely tons of advertising and hooking up sponsors. As with many shows and movies of the time, it was all about how much money you could get and keep flowing. An amazing talent for creating that Soul Train money funnel.
