This song has always had a way of putting my mind at ease. So smooth…and funky!

Mike Patton said about his lyrics ""I think that too many people think too much about my lyrics. I am more a person who works with the sound of a word than with its meaning. Often I just choose the words because of the rhythm not because of the meaning." The last album I bought by them. Saw them with their previous vocalist, Chuck Mosley, back in Feb '88 and twice with Mike Patton. Interesting fact is that when they changed from earlier band Faith. No Man to Faith No More, one of their original vocalists was Courtney Love.

@@SavageGrace For context i happen to like almost all the most popular songs in history. And do this by not paying attention to any lyrics by any song. Could not tell you what they are about or what words are used save for some easy to understand catchy short chorus'. Words dont matter. It is the beats and music that makes the songs popular. My experience proves this.

I am a wordnerd 😄. You put them in a song, i pay attention 😀

Faith No More always puts that Rap cadence Rock n' Roll driven style in their music almost like my favorite Rock band, "Linkin Park" does. Love it!!!

I've always read that "rhymes and giggles muffle the dialog" line as others giggling at you , almost In a bullying way because im not maturing or moving forward and the muffled dialog as I'm asking for help but they just don't listen . So you give up , signing your name to it as if your resigned to going nowhere but still have dreams of getting out of there and being respected. The more interpretation I read about it though makes me re see it.

You most likely heard songs from their album Epic . their song epic, falling to peices and the real thing were huge hits back in 89. The other one that you may know is their version of Easy originally done by Lionel Ritchie. You definitely were getting most of what i get from the lyrics with a few differences and additions . Always interested to see what other people think of lyrics. It changes how i here the song . Its like the song gets an update that keeps me interested . Thanks for coming out of hibernation to check it out

Definitely interested in hearing more and curious to see if i will come across a song i have heard before. The name sounds so familiar. I also love hearing different perspectives on lyrics. Glad to be back! Thanks again for this one!

Epic is the only song that comes to mind when I think of Faith No More

@SaeedReacts. question? If I send another one your way would you want one that you may have heard or one that you most definitely would not have heard? Also is one that might hit home a bit hard ok?

Enjoyed the review man. Just wanted to let you know, the line about 'like a dog returning to its vomit'; it's actually a bible verse that he is referencing there that goes "As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his folly"

Thank you for taking the time shed some light on that. Much appreciated!
