“We can’t negelct the time we spend with God, because that is what helps us get through our busy day”-you. Love that. So true!

Those patches are adorable. I’ve kept a prayer “journal” since 2017. Really a spiral notebook. And would just write out my prayers. It is so amazing to flip back through them and see how God carried you through or answered your prayers. You can really see your faith and relationship with God growing. In 2024 I am moving to a dot grid journal so I can track my bible studies along with my prayers and have a more complete picture for 2024. Thank you for sharing. I love the printed out goal card idea. And the idea of having a section for each of your children. I may implement that into my journal. I can tab each of those sections. Idk. I have so many idea now since seeing this. Thank you! 🙏

Great system! I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by it because I’ve never done faith planning, and then I reminded myself that I can just start with a single notebook and let things evolve. I really like your whole Bible journal with the summaries though so I might try that. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks! I’m all for letting things evolve. Start simple and see where life takes you.

Definitely like a fuller portfolio for spiritual notes. I have been keeping a journal for all spiritual thoughts, sermon notes as well as from books being read or scripture outlines. Then it is easy to reference in associated Bible or book studies. The intention is to later transplant the most noteworthy parts into a new journal, especially quotes to include it future sermons or lessons (Like your Luther quote that was great but also not accessible). Otherwise knowledge gets blurred and not specific, and it's too difficult to include quotes from church fathers wiser than myself in sermons and lessons.

That’s a great idea to transplant the noteworthy parts to a new journal, especially if you’re able to better organize & index that new journal for finding information later. It reminds me of the way people use commonplace books to store information & inspiration for later reference.

@@MartinMadeCo Exactly the same. Though some may be more benefitted by doing this generally into a commonplace book & highlighted journal, rather than an entirely seperate system for spiritual matters. If you're writing sermons or lessons regularly, then I think it makes sense to have that though. Trying to have more references than just Tolkien illustrations in my sermons haha

Also, Japanese is read left to right, so your tangent is well founded. You are using it correctly (assuming you are writing it English)

That’s a great point! I didn’t even consider that.
