Your videos are so peaceful! My favorite part of watching you is that you move very methodically and not frantically or haphazardly, which is how I sometimes feel when I clean 😅 I try to think of your videos when I’m cleaning and doing other tasks and just slow down and enjoy the process! This week has been one of those weeks. I was out every morning, every afternoon and every evening so there wasn’t any time for cleaning. However as we will have guests over in the next week I just have to get stuck into it tonight. Fortunately it’s not too onerous as I have a regular cleaning routine in place. I have found this really helps to keep it more manageable but I’m still procrastinating, watching you clean rather than doing it myself!

I bake my bacon as well, but I put a cooling rack on top of an aluminum foil wrapped pan and put the bacon on top. So all the grease drains on the foil and then I save my bacon grease. I filter it and then store in a grease trap
@FaithandFlour2 жыл бұрын
I save my bacon grease too (after filtering). It's great for cooking. I used to use foil, but the Caraway baking sheet is so easy to clean that I skip that step now. 😉 🍂🍁🧡

Robin, I always love your videos for so many reasons! But this week, I loved it because of your advice on how to streamline our cleaning tasks on busy weeks with the goal of it being “good enough”! That is going to be my moto this week, which will be very busy for me to! So your video could not have come at a better time for me! Thank you! 😍 I will be reminding myself of your tips and advices when I will do my tasks to keep me from being the perfectionist I often am! Learning to let go of that attitude of perfectionism is something I’m working on! It becomes a burden and often leads me to feeling overwhelmed with the homemaking tasks I have to do, discouraging me so that I end up doing nothing! Being less of a perfectionist is a work in progress! 😌 I wanted to tell you that I made the zucchini bread you showed us in a previous video, and my husband and I loved it! It is moist and delicious! In the fall, I enjoy making breads like this, and muffins also. I wish you a wonderful week, with all the activities you have planned, and look forward to “see” you next Sunday! God bless you! 🙏✨💗

The highlight of my week! I save and freeze the fat trimmings from roasts and then render the fat in my crockpot for 6 hours on high. I then strain it through a coffee filter, and put in a mason jar in the fridge to use for frying. Now I can also use it for tallow balm! Thanks!

I love my home made cleaners. Most recipies I have from you. There is only one or two I buying in store with chemicals. But I have to say most of mine are made of water, vinegar, baking soda, isopropyl alcohol. Works fine. I’m using microfiber cloths but regular ones. I have to give you, Robin big shout out for recommending your shark cordless vacuum cleaner. I had other one which wasn’t so great. This one is amazing, and price is reasonable. Hi Robin - great job with your cleaning today. I didn’t think it looked good enough I thought it looked great. But I don’t know about that Tallow stuff. I’ll have to take your word for that. You know that I had told you that I hadn’t been zone cleaning for almost a year because I had been feeling so bad. So now that I’m feeling good I took the whole month of September to get back to where things were all caught up. I remember now since I’m on the second month how easy everything is once it is zone cleaned. Seriously about 15 minutes a day will keep everything in shape. Then I usually spend about another 15 minutes on the routine stuff like dusting the rest of the house. It’s a good system. I stayed home from church today because I’ve got some kind of crud. I’m not thinking it’s Covid but I will test in the morning. thanks again for being so faithful with your videos. You blessed so many people including me. Love in Christ.

Cooking bacon in the oven is a game changer. Not sure how I stubbled on doing it this way, but it has been years since I have used my stovetop for bacon. Also, body butter was made in my kitchen on Saturday. Pumpkin Spice and Orange Spice. All set for fall and smell so wonderful. Our flavors for winter are decided on also. They do make great gifts. And are a perfect part of self-care. Thanks Robin for another peaceful and inspiring video.

For years, I've also baked my bacon. I do it on a rack on a foil-lined baking sheet. I love how, as it shrinks while baking, it ends up totally flat and straight, and perfectly delicately crispy. I do it at 350-375 for 30 min or till desired doneness (for regular thickness bacon). Yum! I've used and loved a flat microfiber mop, too. Floor dries fast, and no streaks.

Hi Diane! I use the general purpose cloths for cleaning and the the window and polishing cloth for drying. They have different textures, so that's the difference - not the color. Thank you Michelle! I have been curious about homemade deodorant, but I find baking soda very irritating - which is an ingredient in most recipes I've seen. If you have a good one let me know. 😊 🍂🍁🧡

How do you clean your feather duster?
@FaithandFlour2 жыл бұрын
Hi Lisal! It's made of lambs wool, so I can wash it by hand. I use the wool wash by the Laundress - you can find it and my duster in my Amazon Store: www.amazon.com/shop/faithandflour 🍂🍁🧡

I'm so jealous that you can dust your ceiling fan without an extendable duster or step stool 😆

The mop you're using looks new, not the ecloth. Is it extendable??!!
@FaithandFlour2 жыл бұрын
The mop is from Norwex. I have had it for years, but the mop pad is from E-Cloth. 😊 🍂🍁🧡

@@FaithandFlour oh ok. I get excited by anything extendable. At 5'3", it makes housework much easier

Question- how good does that duster pick up dust? I always use my Norwex but have been very interested in using a duster like yours (hubby thinks it’ll just push dust around and won’t actually grab dust). Also, how do you clean it and do you clean it after dusting each room?
@FaithandFlour2 жыл бұрын
Hi Keyla! I love it! It is made of lamb's wool and picks up dust very well. I shake it outside after dusting each room and hand wash it with the wool and cashmere wash by the Laundress. You can find my duster and the wool wash in my Amazon Store: www.amazon.com/shop/faithandflour Hope that helps! 😊🍂🍁🧡

I love you, Robin, and your videos... BUT, please know that I have NO intentions on inviting you over to my home, especially after I saw you dust behind the television set. I am not sure I have EVER done that. You are so thorough! 🧐
