The body language part is so important. Look at ppl in the eyes, smile and keep the head up are definitely a big big help to overcome the fear of taking pics in front of people, and win their trust that you don't want to offend anyone and you're just making art.

Awesome video as always! I can attest to having a longer focal length at the beginning to get used to shooting. I was super shy about getting close to people, so I shot with an 18-135mm zoom lens for a long time until I got the hang of it, and then recently started shooting with an 85 and 24mm. Being able to zoom helped a lot.

Great video Faizal, agree with all those points. Street photography is challenging but part of the excitment is going out not fully knowing what to expect!

As a fellow street photographer myself. Even if i was in good posture, there will still be few sour apples who will step up and confront. Especially tell you specifically to delete the image without consent. and half the time people don't realize that they are in public domain. there are boundaries that will be crossed. just hope that new photographers are ready for what will come if not ready.

Great advice, Faizal. The few times I've been out there was a good experience. Ocassionally, stopping and talking to people was a benifit of meeting them, whereas, otherwise it never would have happened without a purpose of being there in the first place. Thanks for your tips!!!

Funny that you say that smiling makes you look less conspicuous. A street photographer from England said the exact opposite, that looking miserable/slightly grumpy makes you less conspicuous and being all happy and smiley on the street will make people notice you more. I guess the English don‘t like visible happy people all that much haha

Just saw your video where you're taking photos at South Station in Boston. Would love to see the editing process for those night time city shots. I looked at your presets and didn't see one that super matched except maybe Cinematic 3. I personally want to expand into street photography for that but my editing needs some WORK haha

I know photography. Low light if you have a 35 35mm lens prime I have that kind I select a shutter speed 1 35. Because if the focal length. I like noise in my photos. Street photography would be easy. I would use a fisheye lens for buildings to make the photo look wide round. I use the fish eye lens so good it the photo don't look distorted. I like landscape the most. All photography is settings and composition. I know how to get custom white balance with grey card. I like f stop or apature. F 2 is much bigger than f 7. I'm a professional nikon d3 photographer. I know the focusing like shutter pressed down focus or manually focus or continuous focusing or automatic focusing. I know. Single ficus point or 3d point.

Respectfully, in public u can take pics of whoever u want and if someone has a problem with it then they can cry to whoever they want about it not me, cops will tell u it's perfectly legal, ur not gonna sit there and take pics of one person or follow them but u can't be a soft a** dude caving in to Karen's seriously I'll take a pic of anything and anyone as long as it's not disrespectful and no kids no matter what, that's where ur asking for trouble as I wouldn't let anyone sit there taking pics of my kids. I seen a few of ur videos and u always talk about sitting there and explaining to them, respectfully I aint doing that for anyone. with exception of someone who has kids with them then I would give them the courtesy of letting them know and even delete if they're kids where in a shot because it's about protecting our kids, anyone else wear a face mask it's a free country and I'm not gonna cater to every pansy.. . but that's just me, to each their own. lol
