Well, they’re all just speculations really. The channel is often look at (Raiden Shotgun) actually usess disclaimers saying that the information may be false and give their personal statement on the information at times. And quite a few times now, they’ve been correct and I’ve prepared early and gotten some of my favourite characters. Its just a lot of these channels use the same sources so it’s repetitive, but spreads the info fast

i like checking banner leaks because i have a “wishlist” of characters i want to get so that i can save resources accordingly. but i only start believing banner leaks when it’s been a couple of days into the next version’s beta and i see all the usual channels post the same EXACT lineup of 5* characters (and when it’s legit they usually post around the same time, within an hour or 2 of each other because it’s hot news). i now always know the banner lineup weeks before the special program which is a big help in how i spend my resin daily and how much primos i need to farm. the channel i personally trust the most is Raiden Shotgun, and they do include disclaimers in every video. that’s been my method since this year and it hasn’t failed me yet, and i think saving resources 5 weeks before your awaited character is enough time (i never pre-farm before that 5-week window). i also don’t follow any type of banner roadmap like 5.4-5.8 since those predictions are unrealistic and borderline ridiculous.

I've noticed that too, and I'm going to use the opportunity to encourage anyone to not use Lootbar or services like them unless they're willing to risk getting their account banned to save a few bucks. Hoyoverse and Codashop are the only legitimate sources of genesis crystals and their prices are what they always have been. If somebody is selling them for less, it's because they are buying them through Codashop and sell them for less, which only makes sense when they are laundering money or doing some other shady shit. Don't get involved. If the crystals you get were bought with a stolen credit card and the real owners dos a charge-back, it's your account that will bet banned as per Genshins TOS, and you certainly won't get your money back from Lootbar either.

It’s just like any other show that turns out disappointing-you move on.Or do you lose time pre farming resources? 6:35 Homdgcat isn’t exactly a leaker perse, they’re not necessarily some person with inside info, but they seem to be a dataminer, since they’ve frequently commented on internal file changes in both Genshin and HSR. Usually for Genshin if a character gets their trial changed, it’s a sign that they’re rerunning, which is how Homdgcat is often reliable about the 4*s rerunning. Obviously being a dataminer rather than an insider means that they might not know as much about the future, since files aren’t always put into the game wayy in advance, but it does mean that they are at a comparatively lower risk of being “found out” or shut down by Hoyo, since they’re not breaking any NDAs Most of those other sources (Seele Leaks) are also not actual leakers/insiders, but people who compile leaks that look more legitimate and think for themselves on whether they’re reliable, which is why they’ll occasionally say that something seems unreliable

I'll add that in general, only give any thought to leaks related to the banner of the next patch, and 'leaks' related to later patches should be dismissed out of hand. In turn, only pre-farm for characters who you can be confident will be in the next patch and not for later patches. As an early Genshin player, been playing since 1.1 in November 2020, we used to have some real nonsense in the 1.x days of 'leakers' supposedly 'confirming' Dainsleif's kit or a Signora banner.

These videos are pretty much just content farms, since they talk about leaks while using AI they don't need to put in much work at all to make a lot of them fast. Even their primogem counting for each patch is probably stolen from Reddit. To me, these channels are the low tier content sludge you should avoid at all cost. It's alright to be wrong about leaks, that's why it's always "STC" but like you said, being deliberate about it and clickbaiting people into giving you views is a totally different thing. Not to mention many of them are stealing voices of actual, real voice actors, for example the Raiden Shogun channel which is one of the reasons why voice actors are striking right now and we don't have a complete english dub of the game. These channels are terrible on every front.

Well for me, I've never been disappointed by Raitden Shotgun's "banner leaks" or banner predictions cuz I know how to evaluate the information. So yeah those channels were really, really helpful for me and always been for the past few years. So I don't think it should be stopped, Instead I think people should atleast know to not take predictions as an accurate information. I usually wait 10 days before the official Livestream cuz in my experience, around 10 days before Livestream, those banner predictions turned out to be accurate. So just wait for Livestream cuz the close it is to the official Livestream those more likely it is to be true or just simply wait for the official announcement XD It all comes down to Pros and Cons of those channels for each person I think.

I only look at leaked banners because I want time to save up for (and eventually farm for, when we get closer to official announcements) the characters I want. If Mihoyo was very up front with who they rerun when, then I wouldn't have a need to look at leaks, because I know who's coming. But with how they're doing things, you only effectively have 14 days to save and prefarm for a character from when they announce it in the special program, til the character (in phase one) is released. And we all know JUST 14 ish days in nowhere near enough to get enough primos, so if Mihoyo did things better, then leaks wouldn't be necessary.

Its even worse when you realize that every leak channel is parroting what the other channels are saying without doing any research of their own. This is exactly why I haven't been uploading any leaked banner videos in a while, they perform really well but are VERY subject to change. Even though my track record on reporting leaks is decent (definitely not perfect) I'd still rather wait till something comes from Seele Leaks or HomDGCat before reporting on it. If you want to get this info yourself go to the GenshinLeaks subreddit. Its where I and every other genshin channel gets their leaks from including gameplay footage and screenshots. Information that is not from reliable sources or seem too good to be true are usually labeled as SUS in the titles so you know which ones you can basically ignore.

I've been waiting for arlecchino for quite some time. These channels were hyping me up for her having rerun in 5.2 and then they suddenly changed it to 5.4, just to change their mind again that she might get rerun even later (5.5 or 5.6). And here we are, arlecchino in 5.3, while they were saying there is no way hoyo would put two pyro dps characters in the same patch.

I don't think it is a "waste" to pre-farm for a character you really want. I'm not pulling on every banner just because they are the "newest" or the "best". I pull for the characters I love. I save to get the ones I want. If you want every character that is fine. I DON'T want every character and that is also fine. Saying it is a waste to save for your favourite is wrong. I have already gotten two I really wanted by saving and pre-farming. I do NOT regret it. These channels are more or less harmless. We all know that Hoyo will do what they want when they want; so this is all just wishful thinking. Sorry for the rant, these are are my thoughts on the subject.

@@majkat6549 I think it just makes sense. You find a character you like and save up to get them, so why not get all the mats you need ahead of time. That way you can start playing them right away. It's not hurting anything, so I don't see the problem. Plus most of the time even if you decide to not get that character, the mats can be used in other places. In your case; it does seem more likely for her to get a rerun before the character I've saved/pre-farmed for(Shenhe), so I wish you good luck.
