I feel like the reasons we used to buy luxury goods no longer hold true. I love the feel of well made, soft as cotton. Now that these stores are cutting corners and jacking up prices, young people don't see the value and luxury side, so they're the only ones left to see for themselves. here in this video the quality of the "fake one" is better than the "original one". I am not sure that this video presentation is relevant. There are more things which this video doesn't present. They are that in every market the manufacturers are obliged to produce according to specific customer preferences. I buy the "big brands" because you get what you pay for; costs a bit more but you get good quality clothing that fits well and is generally going to last. Last year I had two encounters with what I thought were fake items. I received a Lacoste polo and I was almost 99% sure it was fake and a Ralph Lauren sweater which I am 100% sure was fake. When contacting the companies to report this and get some advice they were just not at all interested in following up. So my conclusion is that I buy the brands for the quality and if the quality is good and they don't care if it is a fake then why should I? PS: The fake items were from reputable shops and not discounted however not what Lacoste or RL actually consider their "official" sales channels.
