Hi Pedro thanks. You mean the lichens ..They come in some sort of a very fine powder you can buy them in different colour and glue them. You can buy them from different taxidermy supplies. I think I bought mine from Wildthingspreserved. Look them up.

While washing birds, especially waterfowl, how do you know if its fully degreased?

My new method is consisting hot water with lots of Dawn detergent in 2 different baths. Super degreaser feathers flow freely under water if you submerge them .. the downy part will flow separately and freely. If still greasy they will stick to one another.
