Is that bondo that you're using here to sculpt and even out the transition from the skull plate to the form/head?
@ArtofTaxidermy2 жыл бұрын
Nope… I’m using paper Mache.

Ahh okay. I've never had great luck with it drying in a satisfactory amount of time. Seems to take a day or two, sometimes longer.

The best repro guy I’ve seen is Trigger Finger Replicas, in Utah.

Ben, were you able to remove those monster horns from the cores?
@ArtofTaxidermy2 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah. Had to. I rot them out with water.., stinky but it’s the best I know.

@@ArtofTaxidermy Agreed! I saw a tip somewhere, using a fish tank heater secured to the inside wall of the bucket used to macerate the horns off a skull. The guy covered the bucket to reduce the smell, and the heater speeded up the process. Haven't tried it yet myself, but it makes sense! ;)

Looks like a McKenzie / Precision Bighorn by Joe Kish. If it is, I wouldn't exactly call them the "best".
