Just had one put on my gladiator. Made a hell of a difference on steering handling. Steering wheel doesn't flop side to side when hitting a bumps or anything on the road. Drives amazing. Just know if you put it on firm it will wear out your steering components from what I hear.

It is the best steering stabilizer (in my opinion). For me, Firm is for long highway driving Medium is everyday driving Soft is for off roading Works perfect this way

In my opinion purchasing a complete coil over Terraflex lift kit eliminates all of these problems. 🤙🏼 Rad channel Terraflex- Made in Utah 🤟🏽

That would be awesome… however like so many others, my Jeep already had a lift kit installed when I bought it so I am playing “catch up” to replace cheap parts. Unfortunately, COVID attacked my business (and therefor my finances) so it was not in the budget to replace an entire lift suspension kit. 🤷🏽 I love everything Teraflex makes. Great quality. Plus, it gives me a lot of upcoming content to film 😜 Time to go piece by piece. Thank you for the compliments and feedback on the channel. I really enjoy marking videos and receiving comments from people. It helps me become a better content creator. 🙏🏼

Road Rash You’re most welcome and honestly you seem like that kind of guy any of us could and would want to hang around with. I enjoy your honesty and approach to the entire channel and it’s content. I am surrounded by the best Jeeps and Jeeping isn’t he world here so it’s easy to get lucky with parts here. Terraflex is everywhere out here. 8 have it all over my Jeep. When I built my Jeep I had time -and more importantly tons of cash but if I had to do it today I couldn’t ever do it honestly. Which is why I’ll never sell it . That being said I’ve learned some great stuff already from your channel isn’t he short time that I’ve been viewing and I must complement you on your constant responses the interaction makes the channel even better. Good luck to you I hope thatyou get so many followers that you never spend another day working again. 🤙🏼 -Jonzey

@@muthrfuqrjonz3530 oh man…. Even If I never get another view on this video, your comment makes it all worth it. 🙏🏼 My wife always tells me to “do your videos because You like to do them, NOT for the number of views / viewers”. I think that’s why some people resonate with and enjoy my content. I just enjoy making videos and content and would continue to make them even if 1 person watched and got value out of it. Hopefully the channel grows but even if it doesn’t, I’ll still be posting 🤟🏼 Thank you so much for this comment. This one comment validates the last 7 months of video content. 🙌🏼

O just put one on and saw you had this on yours for over 2 years now and would love your honest opinion. Is it still holding strong? Are there any other changes you did to minimize the quick road imperfection you feel through the steering wheel? Also you mentioned in another comment upgrading to the Falcon shocks, if so, which ones and would you recommend?
@RoadRashOffRoad

So a little update.... I still have the Nexus 2.2 steering stabilizer. It has been PERFECT. I have had NO issues with it at all and have not done any maintenance to it. I would defiantly buy it again. I can tell you that I rarely ever change the settings though.While putting it on the Hard setting for long highway driving and putting it on Soft for rock crawling and off roading, I honestly forget every time to switch it. Regarding the Falcon shocks, I have not upgraded my shocks yet. I still have the older cheep"shocks on the Jeep. it's one of those "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" things. I've been holding out until I NEEDED new shocks rather than just want new shocks.

Still loving this stabilizer? I'm about to order it. I just ordered the falcon shocks. Replaced all ball joints with the HD teraflex adjustable ones. Inner axle seals with oems. Outer axle seals with Alloy USA ones and the tie rods and bar with the yeti 1 5/8 one. And did the JL Big brake upgrade kit.

That's a great rig you have there Bruce. Very nice. I also have the Yeti Drag link and the HD Teraflex ball joints. You'll really like those. My next upgrade is going Falcon Shocks. I have many friends with these and I've heard nothing but great things about them. With regards to the Falcon Nexus 2.2, I like it more now than even when I filmed this video. I have put it through alot of different occasions in which I could test out the different settings. At first I was thinking to myself, "is there really going to be THAT big of a difference between soft, medium and firm"? YES... YES THERE IS. Everyday driving is on medium and it's perfect for around town. Not too harsh on the steering box. When I take it off-road / rock crawling / etc, put it on soft and the wheel does not snatch all over the place and I have also driven some 8+ hour HWY trips where I put it on firm and the Jeep steering is so stiff, it does not wander on the HWY. I have been very happy with it and would recommend it for sure.

@@RoadRashOffRoad thank you for the response! Very much appreciate it! Your vid, aswell as other KZbinrs, plus you response here really made up my mind. Ordered! Lol. Thanks for the compliment on my rig too! It's been my pride n joy in the nearly 5 years if owned her! I've also done bumpers, bumper mounted spare tire rack, winch and a 10.1 navigation system. It came with dealer installed 2.5 lift and aftermarket wheels and tire. Also getting ready to replace the top. Thanks again for the resp6!

About to go throw this sucker on my Jku, great vid. I would however have liked if you had mentioned which settings you liked and what you were running it in on the freeway, I’m guessing medium?
@RoadRashOffRoad
@RoadRashOffRoad 3 жыл бұрын
You won’t be sorry throwing this on the JKU. I guess I left out “my favorite settings”. I’ve spent some time testing the settings. There is quite a big difference between each setting. Soft setting is perfect for off roading. It’s very squishy which is perfect for going over large bumps, rocks, crevices, etc. With a stiffer steering, it would have jerked the steering all over the place. Making it soft and squishy allows the steering to give a lot. Medium is perfect for average, every day driving. This will feel much like a standard steering stabilizer. This is where I keep it almost all the time. Firm is quite stiff and perfect for long highway driving. Next week, I’m driving 7 hrs to the beach and will flip it to firm on the way down. This practically allows you to let go of the steering wheel in the Jeep and it will hold straight. It is my understanding that leaving it here for everyday driving on curves around town could put unnecessary stress on the steering box plus it is quite tight.... I wouldn’t want to leave it here for backroad curves.

Looks Good! I have a question concerning your Bumper it looks as if you sawed the ends off and replaced them with a cap. Is there a kit for that or just your own ingenuity?
@RoadRashOffRoad
@RoadRashOffRoad 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. The bumper is the stock JK bumper. I did cut the ends off and installed a end cap kit, sold on Extreme Terrain. Super simple and works with no issues. www.extremeterrain.com/vertically-driven-stubby-modular-stock-bumper-end-caps-black-0718-jeep-jk.html

Those headlights are sweet man, do you know the name of them?
@RoadRashOffRoad
@RoadRashOffRoad 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Ian.... Thanks man. I LOVE these headlights. I am planning a video for these headlights. I just have to find the proper way to film it since this is not a new install. Headlights (in my opinion) should be the very first upgrade to every Jeep JK owner that still has stock headlights. The stock headlights are so dim, most people call them "candlelight's" and they are actually dangerous. Especially if you live in a less populated outer city like me. Dark roads and deer will easily go unseen. When I was looking to upgrade my headlights, I had a couple of things on my checkoff list. Of course they needed to be bright but they also needed to be "white", not blueish tone like most cheeper LED headlights and they had to be affordable. These headlights are the absolute best I have found. The design is based on the new JT model jeep and have daytime running lights (the round rings). They don't change color but I didn't care about that. They are always white. After using these headlights for over 9 months now, I have never had an issue and still consider these the best headlights (for the money) on the market. I would defiantly buy these again. I bought these from Amazon. They are the Xprite 7 in CREE Led. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082SC83Q8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

Will this help with death wobble?
@RoadRashOffRoad
@RoadRashOffRoad 3 жыл бұрын
It will help however it does not fix death wobble. It only mask / bandaids the death wobble effect. You need to address what is causing the death wobble first and foremost. First, check / replace adjustable trac bar and drag link. Then check your ball joints (this was the problem with mine). My ball joints were shot and as soon as I replaced them, no more Death wobble

Hey Road Rash, I could only get enough leverage to torque my track bar bolt to about 180 ft lbs. do you think that would be an issue?
@RoadRashOffRoad
@RoadRashOffRoad 3 жыл бұрын
Personally, I think Falcons suggested 220 lbs is too much and I’ve read many other blogs and installation videos that also had issues torquing to 220. I also had issues torquing to Falcon specs. I tightened mine to around 180 lbs and then gave it a “snug tug”. I’ve had no issues. I would say you would be ok.... just crawl under the Jeep in about a week with your torque wrench and pull it again, just to check it.
