Thank You Bro. You just saved me a lot of money. My wife's 2010 Chev Malibu just had a complete tire change. A day later the TPMS warning came on. She was on the freeway and in very dangerous snowy conditions. It showed her front left was out of air. When she called the tire company, Discount Tire, they told her that her sensor was bad. After viewing your video, I reset all 4 tires.... and bingo, resolved. These company's all want to charge you for replacement of the sensor. It's an industry rip off. Discount should have reset the system at the time of the change of tires, they know that. Just like re setting the oil life at an old change. Again, thanks Bro.... easy fix !

The amber tire icon will generally flash if there are bad sensors. If it’s solid, it generally means tire pressure is low or the system needs to be reset. You can actually pick up a reset tool online for around $10.00. It’s a lot easier way to reset the system for a small investment. Additionally, some GM vehicles will reset themselves. Inflate the tires to the proper level and drive the vehicle 20-25 miles at 50+ MPH. Again, you can only reset the system if the amber tire icon is on steady. If it’s flashing, you have bad sensors or some other system failure beyond low tire pressure Discount is usually pretty thorough. Your wife’s system probably went into some kind of automatic relearn cycle after the tires were changed. Had a Ford Transit Connect van that would do that.

My sensor wasn't reading after some battery/cable work. I was going to re-set it like this video shows, so I filled the tires from 35ish to 49 psi and when I got back in the car the sensor was working again! :) Took about 10-15 PSI until it started working again because one of the tires I put a little less pressure in and that still wasn't working until I added a slight bit more pressure. No beeps or anything. Then I released air back down to 35 PSI and the sensor knew. :)

I just bought my 2015 chevy Cruze. This light was on, it’s only showing 1 tires pressure- before it showed 2. The tires have air and aren’t low. Will this work for me?
@FalconsGarage Жыл бұрын
yes it should . but could also be that your sensors are bad!

I try to do it on my 2015 Chevrolet Equinox but i did start on the driver side first i ended up taking out mostly every air from the driver side and no beep at all from the driver side!! Wondering what is wrong i follow all the instructions..
@FalconsGarage2 жыл бұрын
As long as the car was on relearn mode. Most likely you have a bad sensor on that tire.

@@FalconsGarage I purchase new sensor could it be something else with the vehicle? I brought TPMS relearn tool for GM going to see if that will do the job!! If not going to have to take it to a dealer which I'm trying to avoid..
@FalconsGarage2 жыл бұрын
@@BIGMOE007 with new sensor I’m assuming you got somebody to mount it and put it on? Also a new sensor needs to be programmed. Procedure in the video is to relearn position different things. So on that scanner you got you need to “reprogram new sensor”. Hope it helps

Didn't work on my 2013 Cruze.... do you need to start at a higher than normal pressure? I started at 38 psi and it never beeped on releasing the air... and I went down to 15 psi.... or does it mean that they TPMS isn't compatible with my vehicle after all (manufacturer says it is compatible)?

if it didnt work .. maybe the sensor is bad

Doesn't work on a 2017 Equinox. There might have been an 'upgrade' by GM🤨 to foil all us enterprising people out here..

I have a sensor malfunction or something on left rear tire, it doesn’t show any reading for a while but after I drive it for some distance it’ll show and again go away and it keeps repeating.. anyone thinks following this procedure will help fix it?

Probably not. I think you have to get that sensor replaced

@@FalconsGarage I'm having the same issue with my 2019 Equinox. The FrontRight sensor is showing no signal after my first tire rotation, and when I start this process, the horn never sounded after dropping the FrontLeft tire pressure below 10psi. I was afraid to let anymore air out, because it was getting pretty flat. Anyways... I'm going to play around with it a bit more. Any ideas, please let me know.

@blainedupre33924 жыл бұрын
My 2019 Equinox is showing the same issue. Literally 1 month after I bought the vehicle, we brought it in for the first service, and this happened after the tire rotation (I'm assuming). I'm also assuming that the part isn't bad since it's still new... I'm going to play around with it and post an update.

My car wants 35 PSI. if I give it 40 and deflate it to 30-35 even though that's not 10-15 over will it still reset?
@FalconsGarage4 жыл бұрын
It might it might not. But even if you go under 30 you can always add air back on to it.

Shouldn't the people that change your tires from winter to all season do this for you? Mine are all messed up. None of them are actually the tires they're supposed to be. I have a 2011 Chevy Cruze & I have about 60,000 miles on it.
@FalconsGaming7 жыл бұрын
MegzToyReviewz yes they should. But most wont unless you tell them. Just like people that change your oil “should” resent your change oil light but most wont unless you tell them too. But this procedure should work perfectly on yours.
