@@rickg2706 - What a lot of the 4x4 guys do is take your 4 tpms sensors and put them in a air tight container with an air valve. Take it up to 36PSI then the alarm will go off. Then stash the container in your trunk or under your seat so they continue to send thioer signal and keep the alarm off. They usually use a PVC pipe with a couple caps on the end to do it. Search TPMS and PVC and you should see some examples.

This definitely was the video to watch. I set up the learning as recommended and I took the pressure out of all 4 tires (I took more from the 2 front tires than I planned and just enough to make a difference in the rear). The system indicated both front tires tires were low then it only showed the left front (the one with the original problem). I turned the ignition off and back on and the TPMS light was gone. Thanks for making the video...it made the difference, saved me from going to the dealer or even buying the reset tool and was well worth the effort!

Great video Eric! I have had a few Chevy and GMC 2500 and 3500 models come in my shop with complaints of Stability control problems that were caused by someone not relearning tire positions on these vehicles that have differing pressure specs front (55) and rear (80) after rotation even though they did correct pressures thus not only causing TPMS lamp to come on but also stability control issues! Have seen this from from dealer serviced trucks if you can believe it! GM's not too bad to get into TPMS tire position learn mode but the late model push button start Fords can make you crazy!

I'll keep my 99 GMC pickup with 326,000 miles on it. It's simple and it works. Things today are way more complicated than they need to be. I had a 63 GMC with a rebuilt 235 in it. Shouldn't of sold it. I still be driving it.
@dannyd56976 жыл бұрын
Yea guy, keep it. Nice job on all the miles. An added bonus of today's cars, anything pre 2008 I think it is- is that if a computer hacker doesn't like ya, or just wants to F around and swipe someone's car, they can take over your car and drive it for ya. Scary stuff. I don't recall the exact year, but I know that any car with On Star can be hacked into. If ya recall a few years ago where there were these "stuck gas pedals" where people would go 120 MPH unintentionally. They didn't want to go that fast. They weren't drunk or high. Their cars weren't working properly. No one can prove it, but there's a thought in the computer industry that those cars were actually hacked into and no stuck gas pedal. If it was a stuck gas pedal, they could have put the car in Neutral and it would have just revved up. Maybe fried the engine (I'm not a car guy) but it wouldn't have killed the people. So yea, keep your old car.

If one doesn’t beep while letting the air out, is that a bad sensor? My suburban is skipping the front passenger side beep even after over 30 secs of air release.
