Fall Colors in Washington - Coldwater Peak | Mount Saint Helens

Inside the Mount Saint Helens blast zone is the perfect fall hike! 🧡
From the thick blanket of Fall colors, to Mount Rainier peaking over the Mount Venus ridge 😍
Coldwater Peak was one of the best Fall experiences I’ve had in Southwest Washington. ✨
And on the edge of the Mount Margaret backcountry.. I didn’t want this day to end. Will most definitely be seeking out backpacking permits in the future. 🧡
‼️Remember ALWAYS to take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints.
🐻 And leave the wild, wild.
📍Boundary Trail to Coldwater Peak
🚗 Beginning at the Johnston Ridge Observatory, the hike will take you along the eastern crest of the ridge
🗺 Mileage: 11.9 miles out & back
🏔 Elevation gain: 3100 vertical feet
✨ Difficulty: Challenging - but 10,000% worth the effort
