I just hanged 6 “floating” led candles by fishing line in a dark corner. I hanged them just in front of a large mirror which reflects them beautifully. Extremely cozy and spooky 😄👻

I've always been into the dark moody style. I have a fondness of dragons, dark spooky woods, moons, witches and whimsical. Finding your channel has been awesome for me because it brought it back out. The whole Practical Magic vibe is how I found you. I've been looking to change up my living room and I want it dark with scattered lamps/lighting here and there, but they have to be that dim light. I'd say it's hard to explain, but I think you know what I mean. My first step is to paint and I've collected some teal and orange pieces over the years, but I want it darker. One of the walls in this video looks to be painted a very dark teal color. I want to go along that line. I've always wanted teal colored walls, but I haven't found the right tone/darkness. Your videos and taste have given me the inspo that I've been needing. You've also made me fall in love with big fluffy couches with pillows. Thought I'd never say that because I'm short and I like to have my feet on the floor and back straight. I'm hoping I can find a middle ground on my sofa journey. Thanks for the inspiration and the beautiful videos, you brought my witchy side back out.

I came across 3 heavy carved black wood antique frames in my local thrift store - one was 12x16 & the other two were 8 x10 - all 3 for $12. I used them to frame some vintage B&W photo images of Theda Bara (the 1920's silent movie star for whom the moniker "vamp" was coined). The large one shows her posing semi-clothed next to a skeleton & in the smaller 2, one features her with her dark hair loose wearing a long black dress & in the other one she is wrapped in black flowing fabric, posing with a raven (she looks like an ancient oracle). I love the spooky, gothic vibes they give off.

My style is witchy all year long and one of my favorite pieces is very similar to the witch in the wheat field that you showed, only smaller. I keep it on my bedside table in a frame and pretend she's my long lost ancestor from Salem. For this time of year I add a little more gothic and Victorian vibes by switching some of my throw pillows to darker colors and bring in pops of oranges, mustard and dark maroons in candles and vases. I’m thinking about perhaps adding some Arabian Nights touches as well; especially the lamps & a touch of gathered, hanging fabric suspended from the corner ceiling in a deep heather gray - hand dyed so it has dappled variances all over it. We are in the middle of a remodel by hand, but the vibe I am thinking as I play my cozy games is: live, laugh love but gamer girl with lots of plushies and just a complete serotonin build. Wanted to do more of this pumpkin thing. Liking the black marble pumpkins. Bought micro skulls from Temu, I haven't figured out what I'm doing with those yet. They are tiny. Might do the flower thing like on the pillow with them but on a dead tree branch with dried marigolds. Also working on an Offrenda.
