It’s funny that how no matter how many times Lauren explains that she is doing this early as a content creator for her viewers to have a sense of how they can decorate for fall……people are still commenting that it’s too early 😂 I for one appreciate it, because this gives me plenty of time to think about how I’d like to decorate for fall myself and where I’d like to shop. Like seriously funny when ppl tell you how the KZbin works as a content creator and that they do it early and tell you where things are from and giving you ideas ppl will still throw that in there about how early it is. And even then if she wants to? Like why not being how short of a Holliday it is like calm down family it’s alright lol. Nobody saying oh you better decorate now like gee wizz lol.

Those who question it should probably pay more attention to the thumbnail and just move along if they don't understand or appreciate the "retail cycle" for merchandising. Always show the upcoming season's decor approximately 4-6 weeks beforehand so that shoppers can get out there for their new goodies in plenty of time to deck out their own spaces!

I am not sure why you moved, I am guessing maybe more room for your family and a bigger backyard for your pool and chickens! Last year I decorated 2nd or 3rd week August. It's such a short season so I understand why people do it early. You want to make the most of it for as long as possible. 🎃🍂🍁🍃🍂🍁

@user-xs9jl1dd1i Thinking about pumpkins in July seems crazy to me, that's all🤯 Why to rush things when our life is so short, thinking about the future all the time makes you not being fully present here and now, not enjoying the moment, rushing, running after something, chasing, never living properly and one day you are old and you don't know when, how your life passed by...🤣 but if someone chooses that it's their choice I get that. I didn't really click on this video, I am commenting as I normally watch all videos here. I just don't like this trend and I blame on the shops, marketing for that, it's all about money and making profit, selling selling, no more magic anymore. When I was a child we used to decorate our xmas tree on the 24th December and it was something we waited for, now Lauren will decorate it in September, when xmas comes everyone is already sick and tired of xmas decorations...

Exactly! I live in Alaska and we have a very short fall season. We basically go from summer to winter. If we have any type of fall, it's less than a months time. We get snow in October, and this year it could be as early as September. We decorate when we feel like it here. I have been talking about pulling out our fall decor for a week now and plan to do within the next week or two.

Lauren, you were literally my second youtuber that I followed. I think I went back and watched all of your past videos!!! My mom had just passed away from having ALS. She lived with my husband and myself for two years and I treasure every moment we were together. Watching your videos got me through a very, very sad time. Way too early for fall decorations or even thinking about fall. Fall starts in late September, then add Halloween decorations in October. Start slowly putting up Christmas decorations in November and slowly taking away fall decorations.

You are in Calif and we don't get Fall till Nov, so I don't understand why you are decorating Fall. I would be so sick of it by Nov, but then I guess by then everyone puts up Christmas. Love what you do, especially your garden, which is so lovely.

Oh I miss the Victorian house!! Loved how you decorated it. Anxious to see you warm up your new home for the fall. It's been such a terribly hot Summer in my area you can't go do anything. No vacation this Summer so I am ready for fall. I am using traditional colors but adding some of the burgundy tones in. Halloween will be a combo of ghost and witches. Sort of a haunted forest where witches live and ghost hang around too!

I live in Texas by the Gulf Coast, so fall for us is still kind of hot weather, like sometimes we're wearing shorts for Thanksgiving LOL As far as fall decorating goes - August is sunflowers; September is football stuff; October - Halloween, November is traditional fall decorating with colored leaves and turkeys, etc.

just IMAGINE…how much fall deco IVE GOT, after 40 years of marriage, and multiple deaths of family members where I helped clean out houses and accumulated things…also I am an interior designer. my hubby & I have lived in 7 homes, and currently live in a 3300 ft.² Victorian inspired newly built gingerbread style house nestled amongst towering fir trees in the cascade Mountains in the Pacific Northwest…. I have lots Furniture I brought back from southeast Asia when I lived in Singapore, including a teak wood all hand carved SOFA bench Then I switch pillows out for each season and sometimes holidays so I have a ton of pillows and I found that buying the pillow covers works best…my house is single level with vaulted ceilings which means there are open ledges above the closet doors in the foyer, tall ceingls above kitchen cabinets where I decorate a lot there….i decorate two coffee tables, end tables, two dining tables, A consul table that serves as a Buffay in the formal dining room and a large sideboard in my formal entryway really it’s just too much to mention here I’m not trying to brag it’s just that watching your decorating and all the stuff that you had in your garage made me realize holy cow I have a lot of decor

The word Autumn was used two times on the same table (area). It's too much Autumn in 1 place IMHO. Just once will do. I think as we get older and our styles and tastes change. I'm trying to declutter and purge things that I no longer enjoy. I either donate them or have a patio sale. I never ever send it to the garbage. In my area If I set it in front of my house and put free on it, it goes pretty quick. I'm sure some HOA's won't allow that but it's what I do. I like touches of fall here and there but my home is not going to look like a HOBBY LOBBY display. Just my 2.5 cents worth.

I hope this doesn’t sound like a stupid question, but how do you actually USE your dining table when it’s decorated? Do you eat off of the fancy plates you put down and where do you put the food in the serving dishes? I’ve always wanted to do a tablescape, but was unsure of the practicality of it.

Last year at this time, I was done with the heat of summer and decided to bring on the pumpkins!! It was so soothing even in the air conditioning, I kept it all up until just before Thanksgiving and, I had a little bit of trouble letting go of it. This year the heat has been so intense just doing this gives me a break. Besides, it's your house; it's my house, so if this helps to calm me down, so be it.
