Technically my husband's story but it still creeps me out: One summer when I was pregnant, I was craving a milkshake, so he went out to get me one, realized he forgot his wallet, so he pulled into a parking lot to turn around. He looked down to grab his phone to call me and when he looked back up, he saw these two little kids right outside the car window with these black eyes (like the Black Eyed Children legend). He floored it out of there. At the same time, I was sitting on the porch and suddenly it got really quiet and spooky. We live in the south, so it's never quiet during summer evenings (crickets, frogs, cicadas). I still think about it all these years later.

I have one spooky story I experienced recently just last summer. My brother, my parents, and I were staying at my sister's place with her boyfriend and two beautiful little nephews. One night while we were sleeping I would say around 2 in the morning I heard a loud noise like a little baby child crying. I thought it was one of my nephews so I didn't think much and just fell back asleep. The next day my sister asked if I heard the cry last night and my brother and I replied that we had. She said she checked both of the boys when she heard the noise and they were both fast asleep which is odd. And she told me this wasn't the first time that happened hearing children crying that wasn't her own. And there were other occasions I swore I heard other noise like out of nowhere knockings and distinct whispers like a soft woman's voice saying ''help me''. In other words, I was freaked out but not surprised because there was an actual cemetery next to her neighborhood. As much as I love her I was glad we only had a few more days at her haunted place.

Long story short we visited a small graveyard in a small town, I like looking at the old inscriptions, most of the graves are from the early 1800s and then there is a newer section, we just passed the old section and I noticed a vase with tattered old flowers in it so I stood it up on the closet grave, walked a step & it fell down, so I checked that it was even headstone & popped it up again, fell down, I then noticed it was eerie quiet and still, trees weren’t moving so no breeze, so I moved it to the grass part of the grave, a gush of wind came and the vase tumbled over, I had goosebumps, I nervously laughed and said out loud ‘wrong grave?!’ And stood it on the headstone behind - and the vase stood perfectly secure. Another time I feel asleep and woke up feeling a pressure that someone had sat on my bed, I was too scared to open my eyes, and then felt pressure on my ankle - this weird pressure thing happened a few times when I was in bed - I found out later that there was a trapdoor under my bed and a whole other dug out ‘house’ through the trapdoor (this was a old miners house - in Australia)! Spooky indeed!

Ok when I saw that photo, I literally got chills from head to toes. And Jared’s story brought memories of when I was about 5 or 6 ( I’m 69 now and will never forget this) we lived across the street from a cemetery. My mother put us to bed and closed our door. As the door closed I saw a figure in a long black coat with a black hat on. He never moved and then just disappeared. I don’t recall being afraid though. If it happened now I’d be petrified. Love this video of the 2 of you doing things together. You should do more like this. Happy Halloween 🎃☠️👻

Last week has been huge tragedy for me and my family because my Grandma died... in a very tragic way, too, in hands of horrible doctors... so i'm grieving, and will be for the rest of my life, but previous months i planned to make the most out of fall this year because i was hoping grandma would be better... i still wanna be mindful and joyful about this year's fall experience and myself. For those of u who are grieving right now, sending my condolences and best wishes (to myself, too). I have a hard time wrapping my head around this tragedy😞 but anyway, i won't beat myself up for wanting to enjoy autumn. And neither should u 💔💔💜 wish u the best🥺

Spooky story, similar experience to Jared: When I was 5 or 6, I woke in the middle of the night to see what I can only describe as a shadow of a man standing in my bedroom doorway. He had his feet crossed and was leaning on my doorframe. I was scared, so I called out for my dad. When my dad came into my room, the figure moved into the hallway. My dad comforted me and went back to bed. As soon as my dad left, the figure moved back into my doorway. I just pulled my blanket over my head and grabbed hard onto a stuffed animal and went back to sleep. I’ve always thought since then that it was a relative of mine who had passed close to that time

I've had a few spooky things happen in my life but here's the one that hit the hardest. Mom was home under hospice care. It was October and we both shared a love of Halloween so the bay window in our living room was festive with lights. (We had them on a timer.) A week before Halloween the lights stopped working. Mom passed on the afternoon of Oct 31 and the lights went on that night.

I have a lot, but I can definitely relate to Jerad’s black figure. It only happened to me once with this one. I had a night light on at the end of my bed and had my dog sleeping with me. I woke up from her moving she was wagging her tail like she was excited to see someone. I look in the direction she was which was at the end of the bed with the night light on. it was a solid black figure of a woman! It was spooky! I made sure I was awake. I didn’t feel like she was bad. Especially with my dog being friendly about her. I said hi then she was gone!😱

Looks spooktastic, Desi 🎃 My spooky story happened when I was 3-4 years old. I was pretty fearless, and I was born certain abilities. It happened in my first childhood home, I was going to bed. I looked inside the nursery - my brothers and I shared it - the window was open, no wind outside, but the curtain was moving a lot. I stood in the hallway watching it, and I saw something moving the curtain. Then I blurted something out like: "Go away, you're not welcome, I mean it!" Then it stopped. I believe that evening was my first encounter with the supernatural, and I took it like a champ. Like I said fearless

Ohh spooky story, okay, I was once travelling at night, on a scooty, getting back home, there was a row of trees on my left, and when turned my head to look casually, i saw one of the trees was like a Y shape, and on the devide in centre was someone siting on that tree wearing that classic really light pink color hospital dressing gown, with hairs open, and then i couldn't see again, cuz we were going fast, so we away now. Here's my spooky story! I was about 10 yrs old...sick, home from school. My mom had went to the store (my dad was at work), so I was home alone. I was laying on the floor watching tv...then all the sudden, very gently, I felt someone put their hand on my head...like a comforting pat...I thought it was my mom back from the store so I started talking to her (still looking at the tv), when she didn't reply..I looked up and no one was there. I yelled for my mom...looked for her buy she wasn't home. I called my dad at work (no cell phones back then) and told him what happened...he told me it was my guardian angel and not to be scared. Little did I know, my parents knew we had a ghost before that incident..but they weren't going to tell me that. Before this happened, I apparently told my mom on numerous occasions that I'd be playing in my room alone and someone kept scratching my head...I have no memory of that. Another time in the same house, my mom and I had left and my dad was home alone. Our bathroom was next to the stairway so you could hear if someone was walking on the stairs. So my dad was in the shower while we were gone and he said he heard someone run up the stairs, and running around in my bedroom above. He thought we came back home real quick...he thought it was me up there so he was calling for my mom and I but no answer. He was totally alone. Another time we all had just got home and my dad went into the bathroom and there was an open pair of scissors just laying on the floor. No one put them there...they didn't even belong in that room...they had been in the kitchen drawer. My mom thought it was the ghost of her mom checking up on me. She had died when my mom was young so she never met me. All those occurrences didn't begin until my mom gave me a small cabinet to play kitchen with...the cabinet belonged to her mother. So one day while I was at school, my mom and her sister, were in my room and they told the ghost to leave...nothing strange happened after that. My mom still has that cabinet and recently asked me if I wanted it to give to my daughter...I told her no way! 🎃🧡🖤

Thank you so much for this casual vlog. So nice! - Jared's story is interesting. I had a young man sitting at my bed (where the feet are) for years. Just sitting. Sometimes I could send him away, but he was there almost every night as if to watch over me. It was weird but I was never afraid. The moment I came to faith he stopped showing up. I don't think he was evil, rather a guardian angel whose protection was no longer needed. - The recipes are so great. Thank you!

One was my pillow was kept being pulled and the other was talking like a group saying various things like "lets wake them up", "where is Iris", and laughing. The other story was i was chatting with a friend at my church and looked over into the hallway and there i saw a young boy like 10 dressed in an altar boy attire just standing there. I thought was dreaming and it was fake but when i looked over he was gone.

I have a story... when I was a child, I was sleeping and in the middle of the night I felt someone touch me hard with their pointed finger on my head. I literally imagined the finger of a witch with long nails. I raised my head, thinking it was my sister waking me up to go to school but I realized it was very dark and she was not there. I just remember seeing an Amcian woman standing at the door of my bedroom, wearing a mustard-colored coat and a red turtleneck sweater and black boots. She looked at me in a peaceful and tender way but I was terrified and got under the blankets. I think I fainted because I don't remember anything else after that. Happy Halloween Eve 🎃

I couldn't make out any features, it was like a silhouette in the doorway. I blinked several times and said something like "why are you here?". Then I rubbed my eyes to try to see better, and it was gone. It just freaked me out hearing Jared describe exactly what I experienced all those years ago.

Spooky story time 😀 For me this actually happened in winter. I went for a walk and it was pretty late, but I love walking in winter through the snow during the night. At some point I started hearing this eerie music and of course, cause that what one does, I followed the music into the woods to the lake. 😂 And I kept following that sound while it got a little louder, until I came out at a little clearing with a burial mound. I still don’t really know where the music was coming from, maybe it was just a cottage nearby. But I swear, it felt like it came from that mound. That really left an impression with me. I still go to that burial mound often and leave flowers and little trinkets. 🤎

I **immediately** ran out of the room terrified. I had been feeling like there was something moving the blankets near my feet in my room for months prior to this. I have now had my house blessed and have holy oil on hand 😂😂. So scary! Loved this video!! So fun to watch you two together. 🎃

I loved this video! It was a joy to see you both in your own element just enjoying each other’s company no script. I got the feeling of this is a special episode! Happy Fall!

I do love when Jared is in the videos too! He’s brilliant, I do wish I hadn’t listened to his scary story before going to bed. Really want to try the apple donuts and the homemade Reece’s!

More Jared! You are so cute together! I love the casual style, probably easier to montage too so we would get more fall videos, it's a win-win! :D

What a fun tradition! Wish my hubs and I had done something like this when we were younger. My kids would have loved it!

I’m obsessed with your pumpkin mug and teapot! I keep seeing them in your videos and thinking I need to get myself a set. I ended up taking my kids to the pumpkin patch on October Eve. I love how different their personalities are and how it’s reflected in the pumpkins they pick out. Also I don’t have any spooky stories, but one my anniversary is in October and one of my favorite things to do on our trips (we take one every year) is ghost tours! They’re always fun, but my favorite tour so far was in Gettysburg. We haven’t been to Salem yet though.
