Chem teacher here: the shirt is most likely not made of a special fabric. It is coated in a substance that is hydrophobic. This means water cannot soak into the surface because it is coated in something like a protective "film". You usually have to get these kids of shirts (as well as wrinkle free dress shirts) dry cleaned for obvious reasons. Edit: also please don't drink out of it again, the stuff is body safe but not...inside of the body safe.

I got those kizik shoes for my brother in law for Christmas. He’s had a brain tumor for about 15 years and his right side of his body is the most effected by the chemo and surgeries. Btw multiple car companies have started doing similar tactics. Companies like Tesla, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and even Toyota have tried to make certain features subscription-based and remotely deactivate the feature if you stop paying. For we must all appear before “the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:10) We will be judged for every deed we do whether is be good or bad. This isn’t something to worry about even if our bad deeds out weigh our good. Because none are good before God, all have sinned against Him and cursed His name, but He in His tender loving mercy hath given us His Son as our ransom. When Jesus was dying all of Gods wrath and judgement was poured out onto Him even though He was sinless. He was sacrificed and tortured on our behalf though we are sinful and carnal. Christ payed our sin debt with His perfect sinless blood so we may escape judgment and have everlasting life. But this great gift is only for those who accept it and accept Him ❤️

Paying 5 dollars forever for a pair of headphones is INSANE. I feel like monthly payments or subscriptions are usually for products or services that continuously give you new content like Hulu or Amazon prime or an Xbox subscription. Why subscribe for one single product and that's it? That's so bizarre and your reaction was spot on lol I hope that doesn't catch on and more companies don't use that idea because that's actually so unfair on so many levels.
@ScientificallyStupid3 жыл бұрын
I just read an article saying that car manufacturers want to start experimenting with "subscribable" features in new cars. Like if you want your phone to use bluetooth to pair with the car when you get in it? $5.00/mo. Want a lane sensor? $20.00/mo. I'm imagining them asking you to subscribe to features like air conditioning and heat. Apparently now with everything in cars becoming so computerized it's really easy for them to add or subtract features just through software updates. They've finally figured out how to continue getting your money if you are the type of person who buys a car outright and keeps it forever (like me).

I did the Nura subscription last year - I wanted a pair of earbuds for running, and on the surface these seemed to fit the bill. They had a sound-thru mode that let the world in and wrapped around your ears for a sturdy fit. Sadly, they sucked. There were a bunch of annoying problems but mainly, the sound wasn't that impressive, it just sort of sounded like scooped mids and pumped bass, kinda like the stereotypical Beats profile. The sound-thru mode while running just resulted in constant wind rush and pop noise. So I went to return them (as Drew said, at my own expense) and wound up being out like, $30 rather than a couple hundred for a product I didn't like.
@ScientificallyStupid2 жыл бұрын

drew said it could only be paid for with real money (peep that google pay payment option), he can’t call his bank for help if the transaction wasn’t made through the bank. This is how scammers make sure you can’t get a refund, it’s the same method telemarketing scammers use to rob old confused people of their life’s savings, a lot of them make them buy gift cards, others have them send the money in cash hidden between a book’s pages, etc. It’s very VERY difficult to get your money back in these situations.
@quasimofo68113 жыл бұрын
@@ariariaris The scams you're talking about are real, but that's not how Google Pay works. My family works in nursing homes, and the slip on shoes actually would have a great purpose. The majority of slip-on shoes you can find at Walmart would be too loose for residents and could fall off feet. If they fell off that resident or another person could trip on them, which can cause broken bones that will never heal properly, especially if unnoticed. When my sister was buying shoes for a resident, out of the entirety of Walmart, she had about 3 options, and one was out of stock. The bad thing about the shoes Drew bought is the price point is too high for most residents, especially when the resident/family is paying, a healthcare worker is out of pocket.

I like the way that the blanket that hugs you back is literally just a weighted blanket with extra steps, but instead of the idea of gravity gently constricting you to help with anxiety, restlessness and other sleep deterrents, it instead uses elastic to constrict you into a ball and wake up feeling worse. Just buy a weighted blanket if you want something that acts in a similar way to the hug blanket, it’s far more comfortable and worth it :).

The buds themselves don't sound half bad, but the pricing scheme is wild to me. To me, it seems that the product isn't the buds themselves, but the renting service. Fun fact: furniture and appliance rentals (such as TVs) are a long-standing thing, especially in poorer neighborhoods, and they're famously abusive and crooked. Most of them are rent-to-own, but even then, you pay a lot more than an outright purchase and there are late fees, interest, etc.

I just want to quickly appreciate the fact that Drew also shows the red flags that we might see so we know how to find out if something is a scam.
