Fall Fishing On The CA Delta! (Tidal Fishing For Largemouth And Striper!)

We’re on the CA Delta and the bite is wide open! From Striper to Largemouth, the guys have no trouble putting together a pattern and catching a bunch of quality fish! Come along as Matt explores this tidal system with topwater, swim jigs, and crankbaits!
Its easy to go to your local lake and fish your favorite spots but as Matt illustrates in this video, it can be very beneficial to run likely patterns, even on spots you’ve never been. If you find a lure or technique that is working you can repeat the pattern on other similar spots on your lake or river. Matt and Ninja fished a very basic pattern today, relying on fast moving baits and topwater to cover water and catch Striper, then they turned to a crankbait on rip rap banks to catch quality bass and a Senko to pick off any remaining fish.

I’m in Nebraska rn and I can’t seem to get them to bite. I have been using top water, crankbait, and swim baits because I’m the other videos you talk about fall time fishing, the bass are very bait fish oriented rn. The water level is very low rn so possibly, that is the reason why I can’t get them to bite but idk how to adapt to low water pressure fishing.

Great video and welcome back! What's the secret to finding rip rap that doesn't have a ton of grass and weeds. Every where I go I can't throw a crankbait because of it. Are you able to say where you launched out of? Thanks!

The only real secret is current. More current = less grass. But some of it is just trial and error. Keep moving until you find that bare riprap.

I will be throwing the tactical wake, and also the megadog that you suggested. I bought that musbob but threw it on a medium rod it’s a pretty light weight lure, is it better on a BFs combo?

I don't think it needs BFS but definitely a smaller reel. I was using an Aldebaran, a curado 70 would be a great choice as well.
